I don't know, that map is a little flakey. For the most part it seems accurate but there are some major goof ups with it. For starters, why the hell is South Korea highlighted in red while North Korea is in yellow? South Korea is a first world country seeing as how it is in the top 15 as far as GDP is concerned. Due to that and its small population compared to countries that have about the same GDP but larger population, South Korea enjoys a high standard of living. Also, neither Egypt or Saudi Arabia classify as third world. Neither does Iran for that matter. And Kazakhstan is far closer to third world than South Africa.
