Okay, on a more serious note..

I'd hand out to my immediate family
Buy a bigger house (nothing too fancy)
Couple of cars
Powerboat
Microlight (Mind you, I'm not keen on heights, but it would be great to fly over my neighbourhood etc)

Lastly, I would set up some sort of account that would pay interest from the money to charities on a regular basis.
'Why not just give it all?', I hear you say..
Well, the interest from the money would keep getting paid for as long as the money is there, which in theory would be my lifetime..
The interest would basically be out of the bank's pocket, which can't be bad, can it?
I could still give the initial amount at some future date anyway, so it would work out as a lot more cash than if I just gave it all at once.

The lottery is a proverbial fool's tax. Complete waste of money. It's often referred to as "the poor man's" tax as well. You'll see these $5 an hour laborers cashing their paychecks and walking over to a gas station and dropping $50 on lottery tickets on a weekly basis. They might win $20 every few weeks, but they're tossing money out the window... Sure, ONE in every so many million people DOES win, but it's a pipe dream. I hate lotteries and have never played one. I don't even buy the instant scratch-off tickets. Never have, never will. :ban:

I would buy a house and a new Jetta, then I would continue my education...it would be nice to be able to go to grad school and get my PhD and owe nothing when I get done. I would save the majority of the rest and then invest.

hmm... it would really depend on how much I won... I'd prolly invest about half of it, and if it was a disgusting amount I'd do anything and everything. I'd certainly buy myself a nice big house on a big piece of land, prolly something chateau-esque, though I'm not sure where, either here in Eastern Canada or Wales. I'd also buy a nice car or two (or three), like a new Jag, maybe an antique Jag and a nice shiney new sports car Of course I'd give money/buy things for my friends and family and I'd travel to all the places I want to, like Spain, Australia, Egypt, Belgium, Switzerland, France, as well as going on weekend shopping trips to like, New York, Paris, and Milan lol

I would first payoff all my debts. Then buy my dream house, fully loaded, with a game room and movie theatre. Buy a house for both my mom and my wife's parents. Buy all my dream cars: H2, Mustang GT, Naviagator, all fully loaded with the loudest systems ever!! Have one kick ass party with all my friends, and hot ass strippers (if the wife lets me.) Invest the rest of course so the interest makes it even more over the next few years. Also I would never work another day in my life. Take a nice long vacation all over the world. And finally have a really big wedding, the dream one my wife has always wanted.

well, these days money doesn't get you as far as it used to, so I'd pay off a few loans,
get a nice house built with a small addition to rent out,
buy a new car because mine is fallin apart, probly a hybrid or somethin cheap on gas,
