C. Is not in the same condition it was when you lent it.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
If you lend it, be prepared for it to go. Don't lend it unless you're ready to lose it. Same with money.

Bastard!

What? even your VHS or DVD stuff starring Jeff Stryker zombie killing porn star. I'd be mighty pissed off if some cunt didnt return my Zombie Flesh Eaters 3 (aka Zombie 4: After Death). It's the only Jeff Stryker flick I own.... so far anyway. So it better be returned if given out on loan or the body count will rise.

Luckily none of my friends still own VHS players, so I can enjoy all of Jeff Stryker's sexiness myself, without interruptions.

Hey, Raven. Can I borrow your Zombie Flesh Eaters 3?

I've not touched the VCR since around 2001 or there abouts. It just so happens that I started on DVD around 2000 so that is probably why I never touched the machine again. It's still there. I wonder if it works. I'd need to give the picture and audio heads a clean first. Then put in an old tape incase it eats the thing. No use wasting perfectly good VHS tapes even if I don't use them no more. Nothing wrong with the VHS picture though. I am not fussy about this quality of the picture crap. If it's watchable and half decent then it's all good. VHS or DVD or Blu Ray it doesn't bother me. I'd watch them all.

Depends. Where do you live?. If it's more than a stones throw from Ayrshire (Scotland) then fuck right off!. Buy your own copy! :D

That's what they're called! I completely forgot.

Oh noes, the inaccuracies in my account are floating to the surface and I have no power to stop it!

YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME ALIVE!

::runs::

lol

It doesn't matter what they are called. VCRs or VHS players.

We all know what it means and if someone doesn't then they need beaten with a big stick for being stupid.

I don't lend shit to people that I don't know whether or not they're good for it. I have no problem loaning stuff to my close friends because I know they're not going to lose/break/steal it. And if you're going to lend something to someone, you probably ought to remember who you gave it to. As far as asking for it back, with my friends, I could honestly let them keep it for a year if it's something I don't use often, like a book I've read or a dvd/game I've watched/beaten a million times. If you're going to want it back soon, just let them know before you give it too them.

Just across the other side of the North Sea.

Sadly, I have let people lend from me less and less things over the years, to the point where I don't even like to lend things out to family members anymore. It isn't just the worry about getting it back, but as somebody that takes good care of my things I get pissed off when an object of mine comes back worse shape than I lent it out in. If anything I take care of other people's things even better than my own as a sign of respect. It's also something where nobody gets more than one chance to screw it up for themselves with me. If something of mine doesn't come back and isn't taken care of I won't give that person anything else again baring extreme emergency and even then I will bother them enough about doing it right it will make it a nightmare for them to have to do so.

The only way I would lend an object out would be if I had almost complete trust in the person to not only return it in a timely manner, but to take very good care of it. I can think of one person that fits those criteria, maybe.

Maybe if you got some friends in your age group...

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
It depends on the person. I have friends I know are very busy, and will watch it when they can....but it might take a couple of weeks. Some friends are just slackards, they can get it done over a weekend. Some people I won't lend certain things to, others I will. As a horrible friend, that has had his buddies copy of Pelham 123 for a month, but still hasn't watched it....I tend to understand how it works sometimes. By the same token, if you do borrow something, it had better come back in the same condition...or better. I have had friends lose things, think nothing of it, then find out the hard way, I cared.

I would say a week for a DVD or a CD and two weeks for a book.
Usually if the person hasn't watched the movie or finished the book yet, I allow them to keep it one more week but two weeks for a movie and 3 for a book is the maximum.

It also depend on how much I trust the person...
