If a guy doesn't watch & follow sports, does that make him less masculine?

Uhm no.. I've only dated one guy who was a sports fanatic..

I actually think that a "sports" guy is rather cookie cutter and essentially pretty boring.. I'd much rather sit around playing COD or watching Breaking Bad with my boyfriend than fight over the tv because Monday night football is on..

What is this fighting you speak of? :dunno:

On Mondays, the man watches football and drinks beer while the woman cleans and makes sandwiches. That's the way it should be.

Ahhhhh, a nerd hunter!

On Mondays, the man watches football and drinks beer while the woman cleans and makes sandwiches. Why? Because I decreed it so.

You can't take all the credit for that one!

No. But all the dudes I've ever known watched, followed and played sports, at least to some extent (depending on sport). In school, you were at least looked at at least a bit of a square if you didn't play sports, but I have to say some of the toughest dudes I've ever known growing up were not the best athletes. I always made As in certain sports a couple dudes always got cut from, but these dudes were the toughest street fighters you could ever know.

However, there is nothing worse than some armchair quarterback/nerd like the Schwab who couldn't throw a ball if his life depended on it. That shit pisses me off more than anything else. As for chicks who try to act like they want to watch the Superbowl when in reality they just want to watch the commercials, well that's just stupid. Or a chick who acts like she cares about a sport and doesn't even know the rules or strategy of that sport.

According to an (I think) American commercial I've seen some years ago, you cannot trust a guy that does not watch sports! :D

Rep to the one that finds that commercial. It was for a sports TV channel. And the language was English.

Why is that? o_O

Just a personal preference. Sports fanatics just aren't my type of guy. I'd prefer to spend my sundays off from work browsing an art museum, or going out for a nice brunch and walk in the park than make nachos for a guy shouting at a tv. Most of my ex's were huge into hockey, and having him choose sports over time with me was pretty lame IMO. Plus, I have zero interest in sports so its nice to be with a guy who has some sort of similar interests. For what its worth, guys who are addicted to video games fall into the same category as sports fanatics. Just not my thing.

Most of those guys are spoken for...

By other guys!

:rofl2:

I think that porn is a sport. Pornstars (usually) have to be in good physical shape. It takes agility and coordination. Pornstars are often ranked by performance, especially on Freeones, and have fans that can be just as crazy as sports fans.

2,000th post! :banger::computer: :banger:

But I can watch sport and STILL have some of the same interests as you! It's not that both partners must have all the same interests, or? I for one, like watching sport. I love me my football and soccer, but I would also totally love to watch some girly stuff with you or go for a walk or something like that. :)

Actually YOU are a gorgeous little thing so I'd probably do ANYTHING as long as it's with you! :shy:

Btw Hearty found me the commercial I was talking about! :)

I do not watch or follow sports. I never intend to either. I'd rather be on my knees, on broken glass, watching Big Brother than watch sports.

I'd rather rip my fingernails out with pliers than visit an art museum on a football Sunday.

Most of the girls I've dated liked (not loved) sports a little bit and so were a little more tolerable of watching games with me. If I have to watch Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives, she can sure as fuck sit through a Colts game 16 times a year.

Somewhere out there is a girl who loves gaming and sports. But right now "Sorry, honey, I can't go out tonight because I'm running some HM Ops in SWTOR tonight" is probably a deal breaker. One can dream though, right?
