I really need help with a virus problem

I must've vistited a dodgy porn site because my anti-virus software, AVG, keeps finding: daedle.exe, loesvse.exe, fucker.exe and 2.01.00.dll in my C:\WINDOWS\system32\services folder. Also when Windows starts up my internet browser opens with some porn site and my homepage chances to coolsearch.biz.

I've scanned my computer with Ad-aware, Sybot and AVG and deleted all the bad shit its found. I've used Hijackthis but I'm not sure what is andwhat isn't safe to delete. I delete all my temporary internet files once I've finished using the internet and try to get my family to delete theirs as often as possible.

I don't know what the fuck to do. Any help would be great. :crash:

You're not the only one that's having problems.
About yours, you could go to the registry and delete the startpage settings as to hopefully get rid of that porn site that starts at the end of startup.
Go to registry and then local machine, software, internet explorer, main.
If there's a Local Page then delete that because that thing turns your startpage into that porn site you see.
After having deleted that Local Page you should be rid of that porn site, off course change the Start Page into whatever site you enjoy visiting first....f.e. google or freeones.

As far as those .exe files that are bothering you....next time you find those make sure you find their location.
There in a folder somewhere (usually system32) and then you can delete them folder and all.
If fucker.exe is in a folder called blabla in the system32 folder then throw the whole blabla folder out.
Don't forget to check installed programs....I assume you're using XP,go to settings, control panel, add or remove programs....some .exe files that harm your computer install themselves and you can find them there.
Uninstall after you've located the folder they're in then after uninstall you can also delete that folder.
Hopefully this helps.
Start using Spybot Search and Destroy instead of AdWare or whatever that program is called.

You sorta lost me there. How do I go to the registry?

The .exe files AVG finds are all in the System32\Services folder. When I delete them they just regenerate 5 mins later.

I found nothing in the Add/Remove list, which is annoying. I was hoping there'd be something there.

Cheers for the help. This kinda shit puts me off porn.

The registry is the regedit.exe file in your Windows folder.
C:/WINDOWS/regedit.exe

restart your comp. in safemod then run ad-wear that way it will get all the exe's out.

also right click on local disk (C:) then click on properties then disk cleanup then clean it up and your comp. will work like new.

Thanx, I'll try it now.

That was one of the first things I tried. I don't even have a host file since the last time I deleted it.

I'll try that as well. DO you know if ad-aware just deleted the exe's or actually removes them completely because I'm constantly shift+del the files every time they regenerate in the Services folder.

I use the disk cleanup a lot too, but I'll try that as well.

Thanx for all the help guys

Fucking computer. The exe's are still coming up and now a new one is appearing, love.exe. My homepage keeps on changing to coolsearch.biz and my internet browser is still opening when windows start on n-udd.com. If none of the anti-virus/spyware/adware applications can find whatever the hell is fucking up my pc then I dunno what will. :crash: :crash: :crash: :crash:

i had kind of the same problem. ditch the IE and download mozilla fire fox. its a new web browser and it rocks. alot better than IE. you will have no problems with it. go to i think mozilla.com and download it.

pitino

are you talking to me?
try to install SP-2 if you have winXP it has a good firewall...
goto ad/remove programms in CP and check for "strange" entries....
goto www.help2go.com for aditional help...

Coolsearch.biz?
Got that aswell, can't visit MyFreeones....I hit the MyFreeones button and there that search engine is.
Can't visit yahoo.com as to check on my e-mail account there because as soon as I've signed in I get redirected to that search engine.
If I find out how to get rid of that I'll let you know.

Member, you member...
I use Mozilla, CoolWebSearch, and Adaware. These three have made my surfing great. I run the CWSearch maybe twice a day, and the Adaware at the end of the day.

Click here and try the free online virus scan. When I was using AVG as my anti-virus program I had to use that link a few times to get rid of virus's that AVG didn't even notice. I've since switched to Avast Free Home Edition and in my opinion is far better than AVG. It is usually updated twice a week with new virus definitions(done automatically), you can schedule it to scan your HDD at your next boot-up(before your OS and software programs start), or anytime you want. Another program You Might want to try is Spyware Blaster. It prevents any spyware from installing itself on your comp without your permission. You have to manually start it whenever you boot up but it works great. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!
