I love her but I wouldn't take a bullet for her

I'd take a bullet for Kobe.

Here's a better question. Your significant other took a bullet for you and died in the process. How do you move on from that? Not just emotionally, but could you see someone else? Knowing they'll never love you as much as the one that died for you? Would you feel guilty? "thanks for saving my life Steve, but now I'm going to get tag teamed by a couple of guys from the wrong side of town."

Can't we just ban guns?

There are only three people in this world that I would take a bullet for, and that is my two nieces and nephew. I love them to pieces, and they're young and deserve a full life, and being children, can't defend themselves or even realize what gunfire is about.

But a bf? Fuck him. If he's any kind of a man, he'll be able to dodge those bullets juuuuust fine. :D

Contrary to popular belief, we aren't all Keanu Reeves. :hatsoff:

There's only two I'd take a bullet for: Batman and a picture of Batman

You've seen the Matrix one too many times.

I am more like Van Heflin: The wise wino getting shot in the middle of the movie by a stray bullet while Robert Taylor survives a shower of lead from six different angles at once and gets to fuck Lana Turner.

rep because you got Sasha Rose in your profile pic (I think)

Go suck a dick.
I believe you made that fucking word up. Nig-Nog.

Actually, no. I saw somebody use that last week when I was trolling the Stern Fan Network. It seems like we are witnessing the birth of a new racial slur...unless he posts there as well.

I wonder how that works...does the coiner send out flyers?

UPDATE: A google search shows it already has an Urban Dictionary entry and it goes back as far as 1977.

Probably read it in one of her quacky lady mags on how to such and such a man's such / whatever.... ask her if you can shoot her in the face with your penis if you haven't done so already.

No offense, but in my opinion, if you don't love a woman enough to take a bullet for her, you don't love her enough to marry her. I would hope when I meet the woman I love enough to marry, that I would be man enough to take a bullet in trying to protect her. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's the way I feel.

I've actually never seen any of the Matrix movies. My point was, if I am to be expected to jump in front of a dodging bullet for any man of mine....then its just easier for the both of us for him to dodge OUT of the way of the bullet, instead of putting my life in jeopardy. ;)

Marriage and death may sound like synonymous things.....and trust me, they are....but I'd still never take a bullet for a husband. You can love someone to bits and genuinely want to spend your life with them, doesn't mean you have to want yours to end for them should the situation arise.

What if she deserved to be shot? Like if she had murdered someone famous & was in front of a firing squad?

If you make guns illegal then the only people who will turn in their guns are the law abiding citizens with registered weapons, leaving them unarmed and criminals will still have just as many guns as before. Only then when they break into a suburban home they wouldn't have to worry about the home owner shooting back at them.

Wow... you sound like a keeper. :eyeso:

This isn't harsh or offensive, this is what it is supposed to be like. But apparently we have been raised in a society of cowards. If I didn't jump in front of a bullet for my wife, my father would probably just shoot me for being such a failure anyway. At least, I hope he would.

That's not a question I would ever ask a guy. As if they said yes I would be positive they were lying. You can't expect someone to take a bullet for you. I hope for your sake it was just some random stupid question. Other wise its a little creepy in my opinion.

i've just skimmed this thread but this comment sounds right, coming from either gender.

would she do it for you? saying you'd take a bullet for someone is one thing (hint: say 'yes' if a loved one asks), but let's see your gf jump out from behind a door and take six to the chest for your sake. maybe she would, maybe she'd crap her pantaloons and sob while you got plugged. who knows--it's all hypothetical bs unless (until??) it actually happens. but equality is equality, right? :D

It doesn't matter if she would do it for me or not, in fact I would expect her not to. Does not and should not affect the fact that I would still do it. My girlfriend already knows when we see some potential trouble to put me between it and herself, where I can best protect her. If she gets in the way I get mad at her lol
