I hate today's porn

Really, I've been watchin porn for years, but I don't like the state of the industry.

They been pushing the standards too far. Too much anal, choking, spitting, always more than 2 performers, and Gonzo, I hate Gonzo porn.

I'm surprised, because I was looking for a good porn today but I've been looking for reviews because porno is not exciting anymore.
I so a review from a Rocco film from the 90's and the reviewer almost wanted to kill him for what he does to the actress.
I so the scene and is nothing compared to any Gonzo film you see this days, and that thing get awards.

I grew up watching Porno with stories, and contract girls with a body you can't find in real life. But now, Porno with Plots is produced less, and some of the features border in stupidity just for artistic purposes (porn without sound anyone?)

Besides some features I barely see porn as much I use to.
Some time ago, things like gagging, choking or even anal were used to make the porn better in small doses, but now is simply disgusting.

I'm wondering if this happened to people growing with 70's and 80's porn, that you feel like porn is not the same as it used to be.

gonzo to me is straight to the point. it serves its purpose to those that watch porn strictly for the sex.

as for the features, maybe if they actually tried something original instead of knockoffs of regular box office hits things would be better.

I grew up with later 80's and 90's stuff and things, as well as, times, changed.
I actually feel the directors became younger and they are going by the demand out there - what the customer wants.
I remember two movies by Anabolic (I believe) - Rough Sex 1 and 2 - those were pulled off the shelves for their rough content. I never saw them, but I did see them for sale.
I wonder, if those came out now, would they be pulled?
There are a few titles with the words "rough" or "tough" in them these days - I guess they have not got the ax.
I think the lax on coming down on the porn industry may have something to with this too by local and federal government - but I'm no politco.
There is still the "plot" driven videos by Vivid and Wicked out there, with outstanding stars.
Just avoid what you don't like - like me - I like the edgier porn, but I stay away from Diabolic and Anabolic these days because of their idiotic camera work.

That sum's up my opinion of the industry exactly. Sometimes I like a good gonzo straight to the point film when on other occasions I like to see mor eof a story. That's why I like porn it has so many different options for every one.

I always considered "stories" in porn movies a turn off. The actors usually can´t act and most of the time, the storyline is either completely trivial, or just plan stupid. A valley girl travelling to a town to visit her uncle, getting shagged by every waiter and cab driver on her way... a mad scientist inventing a perfume that´s attracting every woman. Yeah, that sounds like it could have happened.
Seriously, if I`m in the mood for a story, I prefer to actually watch a movie or read a novel with a good story and decent actors.
Nothing wrong with your preferences of course, whatever floats your boat. However, there are still lots of XXX movies available with semi-decent stories.
As for the Gonzo stuff... it´s always a reflection of what the people want. So there´s no point in flaming the Industry. Blame the consumers instead. Or rather... don´t flame them. Because if you do, I`m gonna flame you for watching "story-porn".

I think that people who watch porn simply evolved. Sleazy music with terrible acting, a ridiculous plot and story and bad acting just doesn't cut it anymore.
Personally, I don't like movies with a plot that is too long; of course that I love uniforms and some plot but movies with 30 minutes of acting are simply boring, in my opinion, if I wanted to see an actual movie I'd turn on the TV, but I don't, I want to see porn.

As for the gonzo, I suppose it's like everything in life, people try to stretch it a little more and see where they can take it. Take TV, for example, movies now are 10 times more pornographic than they used to; I saw a video clip on MTV today with 2 girls in bikini wrestling with 20-30 guys watching and cheering, in one part one of the girls was on her knees and she stretched her ass, which girls often do in porn in those tight short panties. I guess you can say the same on the music industry, back then you needed an original video clip but now all you need is hot girls to succeed.
Personally, after watching so many scenes that are the same, I eventually grow tired of it and want something a little more... extreme. I have friends who feel the same way, too. So after a few years of watching the same old plain sex movies, I want to see anal, and then choking and so on and so on.

You also mentioned that "back then" there were girls that you couldnt find in real life, it's true. If you see now, girls like Krystal Steal, who you hardly see in real life, don't do anal and any extreme stuff, whereas other girls who are more ordinary looking do those stuff; my guess is those girls couldn't make it in the porn industry in the same way Krystal did so they tried doing special and innovative stuff to be seen in the crowd.

I like the direction porn has gone from when I was watching it 20+ years ago. I don't watch porn to see people act, I watch it for explicit sex.

i thin porn is just fine. i like gonzo and i like storyline movies. i look forward to seeing "pirates" and "the story of J", but i also like just scene after scene of sex, non-stop.
i started watching porn about 10 years ago, and a lot of i didn't like. too dragged out. so i thuink the industry standard is okay.
i have read that gonzo is destroying porn, though. so, we'll see.

I've already described my taste in several threads, so I am not sure whether my post here is not considered as spamming... I like more movies with not a lot of storyline and acting, preferring rather tender and caressing - but explicit - sex (mostly f/f(/f), f/f/m and f/m). I am not a big fan of anal, but I cannot say I hate it - some anal scenes I've seen are really nice. I strictly avoid m/m/f, dp, rough and violent sex and any stuff that I feel degrading to women (urinating on them, vomiting, etc.), but I am not able to make a serious comparison between today's porn and the porn of past decades, because my collection contains only movies from late 1990's and early 2000's. Anyway, I think there is a lot of both disgusting and amazing stuff and each can get his own nowadays.

90' porn was way better : classy with some kinda scenario and more and more extreme hardcore...

I don't say i don't like anal, gang bang or DP, just in think that it's better that this kind of thing don't get too common.

Hopefully french porn still has some directors, producers and actresses that do high quality porn, such as Fred Coppula or John B Root :thumbsup:

If your that bothered by it you will probably be glad to know that porn especially gonzo porn is looking like it will start to fade a lot in the coming years. The reason is that because any idiot with a crapy camera can make it and it has come to a point where the market is supersaturated with the lower quality stuff. So it might have been a good idea for them in the beginning, but now it is looking like a harder thing to compete in. That and the fact they ran out of even more nasty acts that they can do on camera. Really after double anal ass to mouth sort of stuff and Max Hardcore there really isn't anywhere you can go to try to draw more people in that for some reason like that stuff or want to see it for the taboo factor. Soon all those little porn studios will go out of business after people get tired of their products and they have to compete with all the hundreds of other crappy studios doing the same thing. It won't disappear but there will be fewer studios that will produce better quality and that is probably a good thing. Also it looks like the classier bigger studio porn features with some semblance of a story or plot will be making a comeback of sorts because of that.

there's...sort of something for everybody. Porn is like every other form. Certain trends do come in. But I agree with the person who said there aren't many with a plot any more. Old School porn was as silly and stupid as it was erotic
