I Finally Tried Chipotle But I Was Disappointed And Feel They Are A Little Overrated

People told me how great the place was. Finally tried it as they opened up one in the Century City food court. It was OK but nothing great. Really pales to La Salsa where tonight I got 2 of their great Overstuffed Steak Burritos.

Yeah, very overrated. Kinda like a place we have here called Burro Loco. it is teh suck

Taco Cabana of the Texas really sucks. They can't even fry eggs right. I don't know about Burro Loco but El Pollo Loco is terrific. I did complain about their bathroom doors as they have a sign that says Los Locos when it should say Muy Loco. Just a small toilet and sink and I take offense being branded a schizophrenic.

New? Hipster douche bags have been swearing by that shit for at least ten years.

Back in '98, I knew this little stripper whore that would put that sriracha shit in her ramen noodles and on her mexican candy. To this day, I haven't tried the shit.

By "Mexican Candy" was she putting Sriracha on her "Fish Taco"? I love Mexican strippers and hot sauce but never ate them together. Sounds worth a try.

Chipotle was good at one time. Just like most things it became too large and quality went down. Food especially has to change per region. What is spicy to someone in Minnesota is tasteless to someone in Texas. What someone considers spicy in the deep south would probably send a northerner to the hospital. So chain food places have to reach a happy medium. Which ends up "sucky" for all.

There are too many family owned authentic Mexican mercados, cantinas, tortillerias, and panaderia's where I live to waste good money on bad comida.

Here too. I get some great steak tacos from a Oaxacan Carniceria right by me. In places like Texas and California there are just too many Mexicans and Mexican Food so the competition is fierce. We also have a place called Tito's Tacos which the whole city enjoys.
