I skipped kindergarten so to speak. Started out with children and the disabled.
The dialysis makes you depressed and uncomfortable. But it makes you alive. And I know that there are people in your life that are very happy that they can see you, visit you, smile with you...even if those times aren't frequent enough. And just think of all of the other caring folks who you will meet in the future. Despite surviving these trying medical procedures.
this is basely the reason why i haven't decided to stop going to dialysis, i still do think i am a burden on my family.![]()
Well, I'm very glad you're still here and having fun as I really appreciated what you did a few days ago. In my opinion, very few board members would have the balls to do what you did. Thanks, dogbone27.

I don’t know you personally but I think I’m a pretty good judge of character. Nobody’s perfect. However, I think you are a very decent guy.
Assuming you are lucky enough to come from a genuinely nice family, I can't imagine they would ever see you as a burden. You are a challenge like Paris Hilton. That’s what life’s about, isn't it?
Sometimes we all get ideas in our heads that just aren’t true. I think and hope this is one of those occasions. :2 cents:
The thing I tell myself to get past the hard times, 'It could always be worse'. Because unless your being beaten to a pulp daily, forced to breath in heave toxins and being raped every night, with no food in your stomach and no one that truly cares at all about you, then I promise, It could always be worse.
I like this quote, “Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.”
My father was a diabetic and he had to have dialysis 3 times a week as well, but he was at the point where he couldnt even get out of bed and get to the dialysis center, he had to have it done here at home. So as long as you can still get up and make it around to places, be happy. You are better off than others who cant.
I think what you need is some hope.
I don't really know what your spiritual beliefs are, but I would recommend reading some of the Bible. Maybe have a relationship with God if you already don't and try praying some. It's helped me through tough times before. :2 cents:
I will keep you in my prayers even though all I have is a screen name.
