The problem with a draft-based army is, when soldiers are in it for just 18 months, they pretty much suck at soldiering ^^

i have some too. often times the officer cadet (dont know if thats the word, the ones in practice) had to throw yellow painted wooden blocks to immitade a smoke grenade because they didnt have enough money to use the practice grenades and im not talking about a small base that could not afford shit. im talking about the biggest and only infantry school in germany.

Did you just equate this hateful, terrorist turd who blew himself up with the Minutemen? That may be the dumbest thing I've ever read. If he was from Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda or the PLO, he sure as shit wasn't a freedom fighter. If anything he was fighting for a belief that personal freedom and self determination are something to be reviled and destroyed. The Minutemen, for the most part, fought their battles in formation and facing their enemies, not lobbing the indiscriminate mortar shell into civilian populations. I keep rooting for these assholes to get the shittiest equipment possible so stuff like this happens only to them. Fuck that guy, his widow and his family and friends. Fuck them right in the ear.

Some rebels did do what would now be known as war crimes, so yes, there is basis for comparison, ethically.
Also, the hit and run tactics, the insurgency, is a comparable strategy for both forces. On both scores there is basis for comparison.

Bear in mind that that school would have to have trained 90% of German men, so don't be too harsh. Remember that military budgets MUST be strictly controlled, as military cost overruns help nobody.
