I just came back a day ago from a several months absence, so I don't know really what's going on. I believe I was doing the right thing by trying to be unbiased and gentleman-like at the same time because I thought it was the proper thing to do. I've asked about what I missed, and I was just told basically "same stuff, different day".

How do you expect people to act when you insult something that's important to them? Yes, that's what you did, insult them. That's what you do every time you make a thread regarding religion or politics and use the word(s) "homophobe", "bigot", "idiotic" or any combination of the three. I'm not saying you certainly can't think them (I certainly do when I'm confronted with some people), but how can you expect people to respond politely or have a genial discussion if you open it with hurtful remarks? If you want an open and thorough discussion, try not immediately opening your thread with derogatory comments.

Civility begets civility, and rudeness begets rudeness, you can't give one and expect the opposite.
There have been plenty of times in the past where I've disagreed with Blue, Philbert, or georges, but I've never felt the need to classify any of them as a fuck hole or rational, and certainly not in public view or repeatedly.
