Here's the story:

It is legal to break into a house in Amsterdam, if there was nobody living in there for a year or more, under a couple of rules:

You need to bring a mattress, a table and a chair.

Then you switch the locks so you got the keys and then you call the police to inform them you are the new owner.

That law was brought to life because way too many people or companies bought homes and let it lay empty, while a lot of peopel were looking for a home without finding that.

Awesome action :hatsoff:

Okay, Petra, get a free house, but hurry up, you only got a month or two to manage that :nanner:

I could break into a house in the UK and claim squatters rights, too.

A while ago there was talk of making it completely illegal for any non-resident to purchase and smoke weed. But tourism would fall dramatically, so hopefully it won't be happening.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
They should keep it legal.
no sense in necessary resources (houses) going to waste. Not to mention that with nobody in them, nobody is looking after them.
