Squirrel season opened here a few weeks ago. I haven't been squirrel hunting since I was a ***. But I wouldn't mind going rabbit hunting this year if I could find someone with some dogs. That's a lot of fast fun, plus the meat is very good.
Dropping a deer would be too easy for me: watch for them through my window, step out on the back deck and BOOM! I'd have to go somewhere else, so it'd be more of a challenge. Maybe in heavier woods so I could use a ******.

******* in what way? I own the land all around me. I don't even need a hunting license where I live.
Well in Maine you need to me a minimum 100 yards from any building including your own home. Sorry not trying to be a dick just stating what I know and practice.
My wife's uncle has 70 acres out in centeral Pa that has his house on and thats it. We ususlly go deer hunting pretty much any time we are out there. I have used a bow and would love to get one for myself, I find archry a bit more challenging than rifle and also a little more fun.
I use a Comp-n-***** XX Full for turkey, gives a great patteren at 40 yards .

Here I believe you need to be at least 100 feet away from any public roadway whenever firing a weapon (including a bow when hunting). But if you want to build a blind or hunt from the deck of a house or hunting cabin, I'm not aware of any such law in my state that speaks to that. When I was a ***, I knew some guys who hunted a cornfield from the loft of a ****. Maybe they were breaking the law, but I haven't heard anything about that being *******.
Not a problem. Just something I've never heard of before. Hunting laws vary greatly from state to state: rifles vs. shotguns for deer hunting, minimum calibers for various game, magazine capacities, etc. Always good to hear what it's like in other places.

A pal of mine loves to bow hunt. I've shot his and it was OK. But I guess I'm addicted to recoil. It is a challenge though. The most fun hunt I ever went on was boar hunting with my ******. It was about a 40 yard shot with open sights. But as I get older, that distance is going to grow!
If I ever have grandkids, it'll be a 100 yard shot in pitch black darkness and it was snowing (in late spring!). A guy who had hunted the week before we went down used a pike... basically a spear, and he jumped out of a tree on a good sized boar. Yeah, he was an ex-Marine. Them boys ain't right.

I've always wanted to go turkey hunting and use the turkey for Thanksgiving. Just haven't found the time, at the moment.

It's truly fun. Nothing like seeing a nice tom all puffed out.
No doubt. I know my uncle goes hunting, it damn near seems, every season there is. Especially deer season.
I am looking to bear hunting, too. From my understanding it tastes rather good.

They were made to be eaten. We are designed to eat meat, as well as vegetation.
Besides, ****** kingdom is nothing but ******* and/or sex. Not that innocent if you want to get down to the gritty reality of it.
From a young wolf catching it's first rabbit and tearing into it's furry flesh, ripping it apart and eating it. All the way to a powerful crocodile leaping from the water and latching right on to a zebra drinking water from the bank of a river, only to be dragged into it's water burial and be feasted upon by a slew of crocodiles.
This is a hunting thread. You knew what you was stepping into so no excuses if you don't like what you read.
Bear meat is VERY tasty maily becasue they are the top-leavel predator in North America. Fresh turkey is also amazing. Nothing like making your own jerky.

Ah, yeah homemade jerky made from a myriad of meats, respectively by ******, is THE BEST! :thumbsup:
I found a bunch of black bear recipes, and I been itching to try them out ever since they made me hungry by the photos and what goes into making them! :hatsoff:
