Hunt For Gunman After Number Confirmed Dead (UK)

I can relate to him. I was going mental too, when I heard that Theo Walcott was axed from the England team.

Too bad, though. I'll miss mrtrebus. :(

Whoops. Sorry. Started thread on this.

Quite shocking, if anywhere you'd expect it to happen in a crowded city but he was driving through quiet little picturesque villages randomly shooting people, the first was his friend so what little chance did the strangers have. He even rolled down his window whilst driving and gunned down a farmer who was trimming hedges with his uncle.

That's what you call a "mass murder." That's why sawed-off shotties are even illegal in America (although he did have a shottie, not saying that his was sawed off). A buck will mess anything up within 10 yards. Perfect for home defense.

Postal Paranoiac
Plus some old woman went nuts with a knife and stabbed a bunch of people in China. Guess it ain't just happening in America.:dunno:

We're not allowed home defense in the UK. If you attack anyone in your home you get arrested, recently a TV presenter who was home alone with her baby saw some people in her garden at night so picked up a knife and tapped it on the window to scare them off, when the police came around they said if she done that again they would arrest her. Crazy that you can't even defend yourself.

I know. I have a video on Youtube I posted on the forum. Once I dig it up I'll post. I'm sorry but that's just f-ing wrong. PC nonsense at its absolute worst.

This all kicked-off a short distance from my workplace...
I actually walked past the gunman twice without knowing it.

I work on a recycling site, which is situated at the end of a quiet 1/4 mile access road.
On my way into work this morning I actually drove past his car.. it was parked approx 10yds up a side road (rear facing me), just off the access road.
I obviously had no idea about what was going to unfold, I thought that the driver was just parked up for forty winks or perhaps waiting for a fare (the car had taxi stripes on the doors)

The rumour is, that he had been sitting there since the early hours of the morning.. possibly lying in wait for someone.

At 8.30-8.45am I again walked past the side road whilst doing a litter-pick.. again the car was still parked there, but again I didn't think much about it at the time.

About an hour later, a member of the public said she had seen a badly injured man staggering from a white van and collapse a short way up the side-road..
The gunman's car had gone at this time.
The member of public phoned for an ambulance, who were there within minutes...I believe that this victim has not survived.

The Police turned up shortly after that and closed the access road completely..
Since about 11.00 this morning there were no members of public allowed up the road, as a result myself and my colleagues have spent most of the day drinking tea and sweeping the yard, whilst listening to the radio.

Strangely, all the news reports have failed to mention this particular shooting, but I am pretty certain that it must have been the first.

I shudder to think of what might have happened if I had approached the car to enquire as to why he was there.

Police and forensics are currently swarming the area and the victim's van is still there being examined.
I have no idea whether we will be allowed to open the site tomorrow.

This whole incident seems somewhat surreal.. Whitehaven, where I live and the surrounding area, are for the most part, quiet and idyllic..
It's a cliche that is often said, but I never thought that something like this could happen where I live.

Sadly, Whitehaven is now definitely on the map.. for the wrong reasons.

I think he wouldn't have gone for you first as his first victim was someone he knew (maybe who he was waiting for), after that the random killings started. This is one of those tragic cases where someone just flips and the friends and families of those killed will find little information that may ease their suffering.

I only these fuckers offed themselves first...

It's a worrying new trend that started in America and can now be seen across Europe. Suicide has been around for a long time but of late those intent on killing themselves will take out others as well often random innocent people, I've heard several cases in the last few years of a divorced individual killing their kid(s) before they kill themselves as a final 'fuck u' to the kids other parent. Selfish and sad.

There was also this case recently. Although I don't condone revenge attacks the courts should realise if you have just been burgled or your family threatened you can develop such a temporary rage that you do something that you cannot control, they need to take this into account when deciding whether to prosecute someone or showing leniency.

that is why it is better to have a gun along with a concillied carry permit than being an innocent victim because of some mad and insane fucker

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
This must be a mistake. This kind of crime is prevented by the Government outlawing, and confiscating all of your weapons.
