Wow! that graph conclusively proves that over the last 140 years, average temperature variances have gone up almost 1 Celsius degree!!!!!!! That's almost 2 Fahrenheit people!!!!!
After this post I am shutting down my computer, if anyone wishes to talk to me I'll be in my basement with candles, my shotgun and some bottled water.

I am the first to admit there is a natural cycle of warming and cooling on Earth. The cycle at this time should be cooling down but it is still warming up. There is nothing that can be done about it unless we immediately loose 3 Billion people to give the others a chance to survive. This has occurred in the past and will happen in the future. Be it the Plague (aka the common Flu), AIDS, Asian Bird Flu, or lack of food and water, there are many triggers that may be pulled to achieve the end.

To be honest, I think humans need a good global smackdown. Whether that be in the form of catastrophic climate devastation, or the majority of people pulling their heads out of their ass to avoid it - either way. We (at least in America, and, I assume, other industrialized/budding nations) live wastefully, with little respect for our planet, other living things, or even each other. We've eliminated natural selection (short of something new emerging, which I'm sure will eventually), all but ensuring that the human race will only de-evolve from here (just look at who is having babies).
It's truly unfortunate that those in poorer areas of the world will, as they always have, get the short end of the stick if such things come to pass.
Anyway. Dead zones in the ocean, now. Only a matter of time. The good news is that if Peak Oil theories are correct, we won't have all that much more gas to burn anyway.

I wasn't asking for evidence. I was asking you what the purpose of the hoax is?
Whether or not man is contributing to global warming is not as important as how to potentially deal with it. I do not think that man can make a drastic change away from running the country on oil to alternative energy sources without plunging the country into an even deeper cataclysm of economic breakdown.
And who is to say that the climate we live in now is the best climate for the earth? It is a fact that a slightly higher overall temperature around the world will naturally contribute to more species and greater numbers of them. Would that cause a problem for man? Hell, that is up to mother nature.
