TEHRAN, Iran — Iran announced Monday that it has tested a new weapon capable of sinking ships nearly 200 miles away, and reiterated threats to close a strategic waterway at the mouth of the Persian Gulf if attacked.
No doubt it is a fluid situation over there. Iran has announced that, if attacked, they will close the Strait of Hormuz (whore-moos? Hmmm, may be something there for another thread). Anyway, light 'em up like the 4th of July for a few days. Take out their nuclear program (they admit they are ennriching uranium - the process that generates either fuel for a nuclear reactor, or the fissile material for a bomb - wtf? They need an alternative source of engery?). Take out their key military targets.
When that happens they will 1) attempt to close the Strait, a major strategic waterway and 2) no doubt launch a few missles at Israel. Oil prices will skyrocket. It appears inevitable. This month, next month. Next year. The year after.
Back to the point. Would you be willing to pay a couple of dollars / gallon (maybe more) extra to sit back and watch it all unfold on CNN with some funky night vision cameras? Get Ak-min-a-jhad to shut the f__k up for a bit. Kind of like Khadafi and Libya when Reagan decided to launched a butt load of cruise missles into his country. Anyone heard from Khadafi in the last 20 years or so?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not ready for WWIII but, with all this sabre rattling, something is inevitable.
