Currently I have 3410 files which is about 22GB, & would take 295 hours to get through the whole lot! I have a small amount of downloaded tracks but most of them are burnt from CDs I have :)

somewhere around 40,000...counting all the cd's I've burned to my comp.

I'm not sure if it's more than 10,000. Maybe it is more, maybe not. What I do know is, it's A LOT. And 98% of it is METAL!!!!. The rest is made up of video game sound tracks (like the eight Tomb Raider's and all the Resident Evil's up to RE4 this includes the side story RE titles too).

1,570 - but that's just the songs I transferred from each computer. I have a few dozen CDs I have to rip (both audio and MP3 type)

I only got my CD colection which is about 200.

I have a terabyte hard-drive for nothing but music, and it is fairly full. I'd say i have roughly 250,000 songs. And yes, they are all legally mine.

One of the benefits of being on the production end of the music industry is that everyone gives you free music. It's bitching.

I've not listened to a lot of it, but it is great to have it all - I can always find what I want, have a lot of variety, and am constantly discovering new (to me) bands or composers or performance ensembles that I like.

How do you guys listen to your mp3s? I actually have a computer tower in my entertainment centre. As I said, I have the hard drive for music and I also have several for the movies I own. Everything is on demand and accessible with a remote.

Can you imagine having that many CDs and being able to find anything?
