How do you read sentences?

I've always read them as kind of a snapshot. It's imprecise at times but I tend to get the gist.

and some of my replies to posts reflect that as well with whole words missing at times.

Is this common core or something?

That's what I've always done too. But as my eyesight has gotten worse, I've been known to totally (and I do mean totally) misinterpret the meaning of certain things.

Yeah, yeah... I should wear my drugstore reading glasses. But I'm so much prettier without them. :pathead:

I don't know about you, but I tend to start with the first letter.

From shortest to longest, credit for time served, hopefully reasonable, within guidelines, HTML and .pdf.

Yes the eye in general is pretty fallible from what I've read over the years, as it takes 'shortcuts' from what it perceives and sends to the brain. It basically takes a quick snapshot and fills in what it expects to be there usually from previous experience for example. The eye also can skip things that are there.
