How Do I Use A GIF Image As My Avatar?

I have a .gif image of a girl shaking her boobs i want to use as my avatar. I uploaded it earlier but its just a still image, how do i make it so its playing as it does in the .gif? Thanks in advance.

The file is probably too large. You'd have to resize it. meesterperfect had the same problem and sorted it out

Thanks, ill resize it to 80x80 and see if that works. Usually my avatars are 100x100 and they work fine so i was just at a loose end when it didntwork this time.

Hmm, what do you guys use to upload your pictures to to resize it? I usually use http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ but it automatically saves any file into a jpg. Maybe thats where im going wrong?

It should be a gif if you want it to animate, I'm fairly sure. :yesyes:
Then it should work, along with being under 80x80 and 19.5 kb.
When my gif's didnt work it was because the file size was too big, your problem is probably more to do with it being a jpg.
For resizing, I used GIMP(it's free). That kept it as an animation, while resizing through internet sites caused it to lose the animation for some reason.

Thought I would try and figure it out after reading about the trouble you were having.....got it to work, but you have to find or resize a GIF that is 80x80 AND less than 19kb.....I used the GIMP software Lungzyn mentioned (free download) to resize it and save it as a GIF....uploaded it once it fit the parameters....worked fine. Hope that helps.

Yeah it is a .gif but then when i resized it the site turned it into a .jpg . Ill give that GIMP a try.

Hmm usually when i do my avatars its either one or the other, not both, ill try one or the other first, then ill try both if it doesn't work. Thanks alot for the help.
