I'm not American but I honestly think that no matter what Obama did, hasn't done or plans to do would not matter as he would still have all of Black America vote for him.

They recently did a scit on precisely that on SNL and I think it was pretty spot on.

I don't know if that is OT but what I'm saying is that with probably 99% of that vote how can it not answer the forum creators question.

Ever since the Southern Strategy, African Americans have heavily voted Democratic - Gore, Clinton and Kerry all got nearly 90% of the black vote.

Look who's he's up against:

A walking, talking cardboard cut-out of an out-of-touch, morman ex-corprate raider.
A bible-thumping assclown who hate gays, colleges and John F. Kennidy.
A three-time married doughboy who doesn't beleive in universal healthcare or same-sex marriage but beleives in making a colony on the moon.
And...that Harry guy.

Really, how can Obama lose?

Ronald Reagan and under his 8 years presidency, the american economy was at its best. Also FDR did a lot for America.

FDR was President within the last 50 years? I guess I either need a history lesson or a math lesson.

..............................................................................................................ur years ago?

That's not difficult when you get to spend as much as you like even when the recession is over.

It takes time, the recovery is on track.

The question I wonder is unless you are on the government dole, how can anyone vote for this lying assclown? The only thing he said during the campaign he's held to is that he wants gas to be $5 a gallon. :brick:

Put simply, the election will be all about Obama and whether the public feels he deserves four more years. If his record is actually any good, he can run on it but I got a major feeling his excellency's campaign is going to be all negative on the Rep. candidate and not a peep about his record so far.

I mean
1. Countless apologies to our enemies.
2. Restricting Catholic organization's freedom of religion by imposing his own views on them that they have to pay for abortions, either directly or indirectly.
3. Fast and Furious, an op designed to create the mess it did create, thousands of dead Mexicans and so far one border patrol agent dead so as to create the furor needed to bring more restrictive gun laws.
4. Unemployment still about 9% when we were told it wouldn't go above 8% if their stimulus packaged passed.
5. The old "we must pass it to know what's in it" Health Care "Reform" bill that now it's been reported that, to put it mildly, is going to cost a lot more (A LOT MORE) than we were told (they said it was going to be under a trillion..... nope)
6. Iran thumbing its nose at the U.S. and the UN and is close to develop a nuke, if they haven't done so already...and I'm going by what the Iranians are saying. I know we were told Saddam had WMD's (the troops did find some nerve gas shells, just not by the warehousefull, most likely forgotten or overlooked by the Russians who helped him hide them). So if we end up bombing Iran and oops, no nukes, then fuck, the sonofabitch I'm-on-a-jihad kept braging they were real close.
7. Siding with illegal immigrants versus the border states by suing border states that dared to enforce immigration laws.
8. Gitmo still open!
9. We're stil in Iraq!
10. Ditto Afghanistan! (oh, but he's doing his darnest to loose that one, so libs must be happy with that)
11. Apologies to our enemies, but our friends (U.K., Israel) fuck those guys.
12. Gas prices... which affect the prices of just about everything else. And though it might take a while to get the drilling going, the sooner we get started, the sooner we'll benefit from it. In fact, I do remember in the 90's the Clinton administration refusing to allow more drilling because "it's going to take too long anyway" or something like that, well, had we started back then we would have producing by the mid 00's.

And I'm hungry so I can't think of anything else for now.

Citation needed.

It would be amuch shorter list to actually list the promises he's kept...

The things that pissed me off the most there the whole "transparency" thing and being fiscally responsible after bashing Bush on being secretive and spending too much money. Not to mention the health care fiasco, which he jammed through Congress saying we needed it to save money. Just this week, the CBO says now it will COST almost $2 trillion extra over the next 10 years.

Good job BHO. Spending us farther into debt while breaking your promises.... with leadership like that, who needs enemies.

False - http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...omney-says-barack-obama-traveled-around-glob/

Restricting Catholic organization's freedom of religion by imposing his own views on them that they have to pay for abortions, either directly or indirectly.

It's actually the opposite - restricting Catholic organizations from FORCING their beliefs on woman by restricting their insurance choices which is part of their compensation. Churches were always exempt - the law was only applicable to church run institutions like hospitals and colleges and the law was already in effect in 28 other states. Let's not forget that these organizations take federal money, they should not be able to force their religious views on others.

Fast and Furious, an op designed to create the mess it did create, thousands of dead Mexicans and so far one border patrol agent dead so as to create the furor needed to bring more restrictive gun laws.

This op was pretty similar to Bush era operations.

Unemployment still about 9% when we were told it wouldn't go above 8% if their stimulus packaged passed.

Another false statement - http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...bama-said-stimulus-would-cap-unemployment-8-/

The old "we must pass it to know what's in it" Health Care "Reform" bill that now it's been reported that, to put it mildly, is going to cost a lot more (A LOT MORE) than we were told (they said it was going to be under a trillion..... nope)

Two problems with your statement. Pelosi actually said that 'we must pass it to know what's in it AWAY from controversy" - what you saw on youtube was a deceptively edited video.

Second, HCR is actually going to cost LESS - not more. You are confusing GROSS COSTS without counting revenues which bring the total number down.

http://news.yahoo.com/cbo-cuts-cost-estimate-obama-healthcare-law-012952341.html

Siding with illegal immigrants versus the border states by suing border states that dared to enforce immigration laws.

Considering that he has deported record number of immigrants, that's hardly siding with them. Also the immigration laws you speak of were blocked because they overreached like enabling racial profiling.

8. Gitmo still open!

Blocked by Congress

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...77/close-the-guantanamo-bay-detention-center/

9. We're stil in Iraq!

Nope, there is an embassy there which is all there is to it along with contractors to protect state department employees.

10. Ditto Afghanistan! (oh, but he's doing his darnest to loose that one, so libs must be happy with that)

What exactly is there to lose? He killed more terrorists in 3 years than Bush did in 7.

That's not what the CBO said, the CBO infact said the OPPOSITE. You are confusing GROSS COSTS with NET COSTS by discounting revenues and cost savings.

http://news.yahoo.com/cbo-cuts-cost-estimate-obama-healthcare-law-012952341.html

Good job BHO. Spending us farther into debt while breaking your promises.... with leadership like that, who needs enemies.

Between, President's don't spend money, only Congress can - infact all spending bills originate in the House and Obama cannot spend a dime unless it's appropriated by Congress.

Also, other than the stimulus there hasn't been a net increase in spending. The deficits are big because of continuing tax cuts and the effects of recession.

It's really his to lose, IMO. I can't see myself voting for any of the GOP candidates, and I sure don't want to vote for Obama. I suppose it will come down to how worried about him I am about installing another of those wacko Supreme Court Justices. While I have voted "independent" the last two elections, just the thought of him putting in another Sotomayor or Kagan (not to mention ALL the other federal courts) will likely force my vote to whatever empty suit the GOP puts up. That's about as much control I figure I have in the grand federal scheme of things.

I love how some of you idiots think the President controls gas prices. One minute its "Praise the Free Market and capitalism!!" The next minute "Change the gas prices you have no control over!!" the next minute.. "Less Government!!"

But Obama is responsible for gas prices, dead babies, Iran, and Hillary Clinton's periods. Didn't you know that?

sheesh.

Oh yea thats right.. but you forgot the national debt, ww2, black people existing, the invention of taxes, and all rape and murders.

Thanks for the correction. You forgot that he's also responsible for the KKK, for all bad things about religion, he's a Muslim, and his farts smell like rotten eggs.

Geez, I can't believe that you guys forgot that he is a socialist, commie fascist who bailed out the big banks and big auto and is in Wall Street's pocket, and wants to give all of the money from the rich people to the poor.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Republicans have now violated Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican." And right now, they have a circular firing squad that is popping off rounds like I can't ever remember seeing before. So IMO, whoever wins the GOP nomination is going to be damaged and hounded by all of the things that his fellow Republicans have said about him... AND the things that he has had to say to defend himself and appeal to the (radical) right wing base.

The United States is a center-right country. It has been for several decades. So some of the screwy things said by these candidates is likely going to be replayed in Obama's campaign commercials. Coming from Obama (the Muslim Commie from Kenya), the message might be met with suspicion. But to replay what has been said by actual "U.S. American GOP members" could introduce some doubt. Add to that, they're focusing on social issues... while the United States is still struggling with economic issues. Pure genius.

And to be honest, I'm not totally convinced that Obama doesn't have his own version of Game Change planned for November: out with Biden and in with Hillary and it's game, set, match... no matter who the Republicans choose (IMHO). I've never cared for her and it wouldn't change my vote. But considering how badly the GOPers have pissed off women recently, I figure that would do it. Course, Romney could always counter with Sarah P@lin or (my girlfriend) Michele Bachmann on his ticket. But against Obama/Clinton, I'd see that as taking a (dull) knife to a gunfight.

Whatever happens, I figure this is going to be an interesting election though. But economics is going to be the deciding factor for most people - not these goofball social issues.
