Well my mom is Korean, and May 8th is considered parents day over there. But my dad is Swiss and still wants me to adhere to mom's traditions. Essentially it is a kill two birds with one stone thing I have going for them. I just fire up the grill and make dinner for them, while both of them berate me about not being married and producing grandchildren for them. Then they get buzzed on gin and tonics and start yelling at each other in various languages mainly my dad, he knows 5 of them, whereas my mom knows 2, then they go back to yelling at me for not settling down, especially my mom. Then I say to my mom: "Well mom if you had any bangable friends I wouldn't be single now would I." Then my dad gets all in my face and says I shouldn't talk to my mom that way. Then I say: "You better shut your piehole old man or I will hit you with a shovel and bury you alive out here in the back yard." And that my friends is how the first parents day originated.
