I like living in a house having my own land and a little distance from others. Only problem is I'm a bit lazy with the yardwork but I coax my ******-in-law to do it letting her know it's her garden.

I would have a very hard time adjusting to anything but a house. I have a typical yard....maybe a 1/4 acre AT MOST. I want a lot more, like a couple of hundred acres, but the wife is a city girl, so it probably won't happen unless I hit a big lotto win.
Or I can afford to make it lake, or ocean front property....she would be on board with that.

Right now, I live in an apartment, and it is the best size for this phase of my life, though an extra room always would be a nice thing. I have a balcony facing our inner harbour, and - yes, there are always ship diesels etc., but the view is nice.
If I had the ressources, I would favor a house with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a garden on my roof. Yeah, that is a ***** of mine, being able to sit in my pastures, and look down on the hustle below

My current apartment. It's paid off, has three bedrooms, a dining room, and is larger than some single-****** houses.
