I know, many people just can't stand Serena Williams, but I think she is a good example of the idea that all depends on a good photographer, lighting and visage. At some off-court pictures she looks amazing. And at some.. Well, the difference is like there are 2 different persons.
That's why with all that controversial contrast I think that she is interesting, I have about 1000 of her photos, and I know what I am saying
Ant one more thing to say: she is intersting with her experiments with clothes. The way she is dressed sometimes is so strange. She can be dressed in classical stuff, and in the most freaky way, with acid colors. Sometimes she is dressed like a porno actress. Altogether it makes her REMARKABLE at least. And I like people who are unusual - it is interesting to watch at them.

I agree with what you are saying. Sometimes she looks hideous but on other occasions she looks pheonominal.
