I am an enthusiast fan of Nancy Ho. As seen from her photographs and films, she seems to enjoy her career far more than many other Asian models.
However, I believe that much of the information and data about her is erroneous. I have never met her or been in contact with her, but I can still dispute much of the information provided here.
While her birthday is reported as 30 July 1985, she is certainly older. In her early pictures as Lok Ka Man (figure 1), a smallpox vaccination scar is prominent on her right shoulder. As smallpox was eradicated by 1977 and worldwide vaccination ceased, at least for a time, by 1980, her birth year is probably in the mid-1970s. Often, a scar is removed by retouching, as shown in figure 2, another publisher's print of figure 1 with the scar retouched.
Nancy was one of the early Asian models to sport a tattoo. Nancy Ho's scorpion tattoo hides a diagonal appendectomy scar on her right abdomen as seen in some of her early pictures (figure 3). In some later pictures, the scar can still be made out as part of the scorpion (figures 4-7).
She is Chinese in original appearance. Early, she seemed a little porky. The data that she was born in the Hong Kong colonies is probably correct. She probably immigrated to Thailand, along with several other models, before the return of the Hong Kong colony to China in 1997. She reportedly is living in Thailand. Of course, Thailand has a large Chinese population so birth there is not out of the question.
On another website, a Thailand identification card (figures 8-9) reportedly belonging to Nancy was shown and translated. The original posts are gone and a reposting of that information lacks an active link to the expanded card image; nevertheless, the birth date of 15 Jan 1977 seems to be more probable than1985. If 15 Jan 77 is the actual date of birth, her sign would be a dragon, not a lion. Chinese use a zodiac focused on the year, not the month as is the western zodiac. Nancy's age would be one year at time of birth by Chinese measurement and two years old a month later at the beginning of the next lunar year, 18 Feb 77. Her current age would be 41 Chinese if the identification card is actually hers. Still, birth dates are somewhat loose in many parts of Asia.
She has probably been active as a model since the early 1990's. Most of her photographs and films show her during her classic period. She was one of the few who did hard core pictures and films as well as danced in Thailand.
A year ago or so, she underwent surgery to westernize her features – rounded eyes, sharper nose, teeth work and braces, larger breasts -- gained a little weight too (figures 10-12). While this was probably an attempt to increase popularity similar to Eurasian porn stars Natt Chanapa and Irene Fah, I personally do not believe the action improved her looks or her popularity. There has not been a volume of pictures or films released since her "upgrade." In recent photos, Nancy shows new tats on her left arm. The word "THONG" is spelled out on her left wrist (figures 13-14) and a flower pattern on the inside or her left forearm (figures 15-16). The flower pattern seems to partially obscure a previous tat attempt, and the skin looks a bit rough as if the area had been burned.
