I have to go with Al Bundy, but only because he gets bonus points because he didn't have the advantage of his television show being animated.

I think The Simpsons is the better show, but Al Bundy is the better character. Al didn't have so many great supporting characters as Homer has. I mean there are about 20 different characters that make regular appearances on the Simpsons, and a lot of them are terrific.
