HOLY CRAP!!! Anaconda Ate a Hippo!!!

Ah, nature, fascinating as ever.

I just wonder how (and why) the hippo got in there. Stupid snake.

how come the push the anaconda to vomit back what it already swallow?

nature is really amazing.next time I ca to aware for the big snakes! hope they not swallow me and my generations :)

That was interesting. Knew anaconda's could fit a lot in there mouths but didn't realise they could get so much down the throat.

A snake (or all snakes) vomit up their meals if they are being stressed and fear for their lives. That causes them to vomit up the meal so they can try to escape.
Those people were around bothering the snake so it did that to run away.
After they eat they need to relax for hours or up to a day or two.

Thats exactly right.

One time I saw this pic of an anaconda eating a croc and it was too much for the snake and it ripped the snake apart. Anacondas can eat little crocs and caymens but a adult croc was just 2 much for it.

Nature is truly amazing. Would love to see the start of that when the Anaconda first ate the hippo.

Nature can be truly fascinating.

Yep I remember a pic with a snake who was exploded by a croco!
Maybe they have eyes huger than their estomache!

I know I'm going to piss off some animal lovers here... but why were those people trying to help it and get it to vomit?? I mean do you really want a snake that's big enough and capable of eating a small hippo running around your area??!!! I say shoot the damn thing!!!!

My sentiments exactly!!!

That was pretty amazing! I gotta disagree with the last two posts though - I actually felt kinda sorry for the snake! How would you feel if you'd just eaten a huge meal and then some folks come along and start prodding you with an oar until you hurl? I know I'd be none too pleased. :(

Or weeks or even months. A meal like the pigmy-hippo would last several months.
