I know this might be a unusual situation considering it was obvious that it was sent to the wrong person, and zdenka at least doesn't appear to mind that much, and I'd like to think Ashleigh wasn't being malicious and this just didn't occur to her, but I was under the impression that publicly releasing the contents of something sent through the private messageing system was not only considered unethical baring very extenuating circumstances, but was against the rules of this messageboard. At least years ago that was the case. If's it's was not actually written in the rules section, which I haven't checked for about this, it still was stated various times by mods of the past and even people above them. Is is still the case?

It has always been a case by case basis. In the past it was actually written into the rules not to air dirty laundry on the board but that has been taken out a long time ago.

Personally, I don't care (and I doubt the other admin do) but the person who chooses to make something that was obviously meant as a private communication public needs to think about what they're doing. Members who use a private message are expecting it to stay private. It could start something that gets the person banned or something that won't die. However, if you can live with the results... :dunno:
