Help with porn stuff on my comp.

From your start menu highlight spybot, a new box should open with a couple of choices, advanced mode and easy mode. Select easy mode, when it opens select search for updates. If there are updates download them. Now just click Check For Problems and wait while spybot searches your hard drives. This may take a while depending on the amount of files you have. Once the search is finished you can click on any problems it found and find out what they are and what they do. The ones with the checkmarks will be deleted so make sure they are not for programs you need or want. When you're done just click on >Fix selected problems< at the bottom and spybot will do the rest.

Hmmm, I found some stuff

I will delete all these things that I have found that have XXX in their names, but there are a few that I have no idea what they are, and the title says either "possible hijacker" or "common hijacker". Should I delete those?

Not at all. It keeps coming up and it won't stop. I am starting to lose it here, lol. I've tried everything and it doesnt work, theres even something that I can click and it says "Uninstall". That just gets rid of it for a little while but it comes back up later. This is just to weird...

The next time it pops up, try right clicking on it then select properties. If it works write down all info from the properties page and post it here.

If you are still having problems download a program called HiJackThis read the instructions from here and post the log it creates at one of these forums here or here . Just name the thread you create something like, "Please check my log". People at either forum will be able to tell you what is safe to remove.

Well, all seems well right now, but appearances can be deceiving... I don't know but I'll keep yall up to date. Thanks for all of your help.

I had trouble with this exact problem a few days ago...

You need to search your pc for anything with '1on1' in the title, delete anything with that reference.

I would advise you install zone alarm , it will alert you to anything that tries to access the internet, such as porn diallers, worms or trojans.
I had a warning that something called 'csrss.exe' was trying to access the net , I denied it any access and then searched the net for any info.
I found out that there is a worm by that name ...
You should also download a program called 'Hijack this' , this will scan your start up routine and show what programs are being loaded at start-up.
If your not sure what is what , find a forum on one of the many security/anti - virus sites and post your scan result.
Chances are that someone will know what should and should'nt be there..

ultimately....it comes down to

c:/format ...

or whatever the command is ..I had the same problem about a month ago....i downloaded a helluva lot of stuff but, ended up havin the same problem over and over again ...so format always helps ...

always leave your firewall on with Norton anti-virus ...and invest in 2003 version....helps
