Seriously getting your phone stolen sucks. Especially in the time of smart phones. They're so fucking expensive and some people have their whole life on them. Notes, contacts, pics, mails, whatever.

Saying it was her own fault, because she took it with her to the convention is not nice. It's like saying it's a girl's fault she got raped, because she was wearing too sexy clothes. It's neither Siri's fault in this case nor any girl's fault when they get raped. Everyone should take their phone, wallet or whatever anywhere they want and every girl should walk around like they want without something bad happening to them.

I question her decision to bring her phone with her to a convention. It seems to me like that would be the perfect place for someone to steal it, and from a fan standpoint, nothing makes you seem less appealing than if you're sitting at your booth with your face in your phone. Hopefully she finds it, but I think she could have left it somewhere safer. It sounds like you're saying that I deserved to have my personal belonging stolen because I had it with me at the convention, which is really dumb. Um, you do understand that the way I get work is by having my phone with me at all times?
When someone wants to hire me, I get a call, and if I don't answer, it's on to the next girl. No work for Siri. And nothing for you guys to watch.

BTW I didn't even use my phone at the convention, it was there for my husband to take photos and videos for BTS stuff to put in a future video blog episode. FOR MY FANS. Anyone who saw me at adultcon will tell you that all day long, each day I was there, I was on my feet for the entire time talking to and taking photos with fans. And it was the same way at Adultcon last july, and at the Adult Entertainment Expo in January. (BTW, I did have my phone with me at those conventions as well! And magically, nobody managed to steal it!)

What I keep trying to explain and nobody seems to get is this: THE PHONE HAS EVERYTHING ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE ON IT. I don't give a shit about my personal nudies and videos. Who cares about them! But if the thief finds, or already has found, a way to break into the phone and then he reads all of my personal information, you better fucking believe I'm leaving the porn industry, because I will have nothing left. I work SO FUCKING HARD to keep my personal life just that, personal. I share more of myself with the public than most porn stars do already, so if it got to the level where someone found out the name of every single family member and personal friend of mine, I would have no reason to be in this industry anymore. That's how important my privacy is to me, plus I made a promise to myself and my family to keep them out of discussions related to my career. and IF the dude who has my phone can access any of that info, then I'd be at his mercy.

^Given, all of that is hypothetical, because the phone was passcode locked. I just can't be sure that the dude didn't find some way around it. I suppose if he had I may know by now, but given how sensitive this situation is for me, I don't think there's such a thing as being too careful.

:goodpost: I've gotta say that I too am surprised at some of the comments in here. Come on guys you know how important it is that girls in our industry keep personal details secret down to the fact that unfortunately we can attract a certain kind of person. And if these people find out where we live or where our families live or whatever then that could be a horrible if not dangerous situation. Especially if they release this information into the public domain.

Of course she is gonna take her phone to the convention as well. Are you guys saying that you wouldn't? That you'd leave it in your hotel room?! Come on now be serious.

I did not say you deserved to have your phone stolen cause you had it out at a convention. What I said was that, by having it out at a convention where you were on your feet talking to and taking photos with fans, you did not do yourself any favours when it came to keeping it protected. Let me put it this way: I assume you have travelled around the world, so you know that people always stress that you need to be safe with your belongings if you're walking around, to the point that they make it sound like wherever you are going is the least safe place in the world. What I said was essentially the same thing. If the phone meant a lot I think having it out and about at a convention wasn't the best idea, even if you needed it for work. If its needed for work, why not keep it hidden and use (god I sound old fashioned here) a camera for taking photos? A digital camera is far more replaceable than a custom phone with all your contacts and personal info on it. If you want to take the phone with you to a convention and use it, it's your call, but it's my opinion that it's not the safest thing you could have done with it if it was important, and on the off-chance you experienced that first hand.
