Caring fans, you can help me find my stolen knife sharpener. The warranty was re-registered by squally so I can’t locate it.

If you know Squally, he would have been by my booth between 4:15 and 4:30 pm on Friday the 22nd. Most guys who came by at that time were in groups; I don’t even remember anyone solo. I question her decision to bring her phone with her to a convention. It seems to me like that would be the perfect place for someone to steal it, and from a fan standpoint, nothing makes you seem less appealing than if you're sitting at your booth with your face in your phone. Hopefully she finds it, but I think she could have left it somewhere safer. Because, seriously: if you have a custom iPhone near anyone named Alejandro, it's going to get stolen one way or another. :tongue:

I mean no disrespect, bu when I go to conventions/festivals, my phone stays ON MY BODY at all times. Phone, camera, ID, cash - that's all i have, and it's all securely attached to my person. Since I was 16 I've always had a smartphone(Sidekick 3, then Sidekick ls, then Sidekick 09, then MyTouch, then Galaxy sII) as well as a super nice camera, and I would NEVER EVER EVER leave them far away from me in public, even at the tiny venue I worked at where I knew no one would steal from me. It just seems irresponsible to bring your purse to a convention like that. yeah you have to pay money to get in but that doesn't mean total fucking creeps won't be there. So, I'm sorry it's been stolen but I think she should take it as a learning experiance. plus, didn't this happen a week ago? Just buy a new phone and move on. It's probably already been harvested for pictures and sold to a pawn shop in Mexico by now.

I've had a lot of shit stolen from me before(people rob vans and trailers a lot. I guess everyone thinks bands have money). We all just went out and bought new stuff. That's all you can really do. It sucks, it's annoying, and you feel violated, but you move on. Some of the stuff I've had taken was super personal, like journals and simple stuff i kept in my backpack - it's not even valuable to anyone. That hurts a lot more than losing something you can buy again.

I was really upset about my backpack. I was on Warped Tour when it happened and I did ask everyone else I knew on the tour to keep a look out etc but it never got back to me. It's not taking the easy way out, it's accepting probability. My guess is some pervert stole her phone for whatever she may have had on it, put it on his computer, then sold the phone. It'll be almost impossible to track, just like a backpack full of journals and dirty clothes was. At least you can buy another iPhone. I bought a new backpack and replaced the clothes but my journals are gone, forever.
