I'd personally rather go from something solid to something with a little more give, instead of vice versa. You can warm up the glass slightly, or cool it down, and create all these temp. sensations you can't get with the other materials. The reason we started using it is because my vag. was getting too sensitive. I'm allergic to the kind of low-grade latex they use to make most sex toys, and with frequent use I was getting too sore. No matter how hard I cleaned them, it didn't seem like they were getting clean enough. With glass I haven't had any of those problems.
