Well, given that I'm not Catholic, I've never willingly given anything up for Lent, but I have lent some things out that I haven't gotten back, so I guess I actually have given things up that I've lent. Or is it loaned...? :dunno:

I grew up in a Catholic family so I used to make the Lent sacrifice every year. I'm agnostic now, so I don't give up anything for Lent. But I don' take part in Mardi Gras either, since that would feel hypocritical to me.
