Have any of you bought things off a porn star's Amazon wishlist?

I tend to think the people who buy off these wish lists are the small minded individual that thinks by buying a porn star something, they will somehow find their way into the good graces of the model and have some shred of affection given back to them. Fostering the false and pathetic hope the girl on screen wont always be the subject of some fantasy wank while perusing the vast inexhaustible vault of internet porn.

Lets face it, actor - pornstar or not will always have that fanbase that look on them as more than just a talented professional. I like an actor, so I admire their movies, enjoy the story they tell us. If I watch a pornstar I see a girl I find physically attractive perform a sexual act I enjoy watching. I dont pretend either celeb will be my friend, have me over for dinner, send me a postcard when they go on holiday or so much as know my fucking name. Freeones is cool, you get to interact with pornstars regularly. Will they remember me in a week if I pay a kind word? Doubtful.

We are each a drop in the ocean when it comes to fanbases, buying a gift does not make you stand out. There may be the occasional grateful model who genuinely appreciates the helping hand from a fan, but maybe unfairly, the great many of us looking in see a bunch of mugs being taken for a ride.

Not to offend anyone but I don't get the point behind going out of your way to buy any entertainer a gift, whether it is a musician, pornstar, author or whatever. You are already paying them to entertain you so what is the point in rewarding them for doing their job of which you've already paid them for?

The main reason is that I don't have enough spare cash to start passing it around. :1orglaugh But if I ever did find myself being able to buy something for a favourite girl, well I do know of a couple of nude models on here who deserve a little treat because they're such great OCSMs. I'd just get it for them around their birthdays. There's nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

And anyway.....

If you consider the girls/ladies you talk to on here as being your friends (because you say you know them), then why not start treating them like friends?! :dunno:

I don't see anything wrong with the girls who have wishlists and the guys who buy off them. You'd tip your waitress, hairdresser, cab driver, masseuse and even strippers - to show your appreciation for their services and/or to make their day brighter. Wishlists are essentially that. And hell, alot of jobs and positions allow you to get bonuses from your bosses or clients outside of your normal income. Why is it wrong for girls to receive gift bonuses? Yes, the girls who blatantly ask for gifts are unclassy, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with offering a list for guys to purchase off of should they decide to do so. Do I expect gifts off my wishlist? Definitely not. But they're certainly appreciated when they do arrive at my doorstep. The guys who buy me items that make me smile are the sweetest guys in the world and I'm so thankful for each and every gift I get and have gotten in the past.

I must admit I did buy a necklace for a porn star last Christmas and I was happy to do so, unfortunately after following her for a longer period of time on twitter, I just came to understand that she was very materialistic, and was far more concerned about the item than the guys who bought it for her, which is understandable of course, but when she started pushing for guy's to buy her things from her wish list my feelings really changed, cause she started to come across as a selfish person really. One fan asked her "How long will you keep the offer going" She was giving away panties and DVD's. and she tweeted back "Until I get what I want" I think that's a little low, a bit low for me anyway.
