I can't. I've thought about switching departments so I'm not standing in one spot for 8 hours. I'd still be on my feet, but walking is so much better than standing still. Waking up is the worst. The first step off my bed is so excruciating that I almost want to collapse. I limp around for the first couple hours of the day. I'm supposed to wear splints on my feet, but fuck that.
Get a water bottle and throw it in the freezer and use it to roll your feet when you get up in the morning, get home, etc. The ice numbs the bottom of your feet and the rolling on the hard ice helps break up the fasciitis.
Another trick I found is a simple otc ankle brace. Just make sure to find one that has the strap going under your foot, then wear this when you're out and about. The strap under your foot actually supports the bottom of your foot.
Taping of course. Pain in the ass to do it yourself, but worth it in the end.
And in the morning, I lay in bed stretching before my feet even hit the floor.
