I was working armed security for the Horseshoe Casino in Downtown Las Vegas when Casino and Showgirls were filmed. Both movies have scenes of the main characters driving around downtown and we had to help clear the streets so they could control what was being filmed. In both movies if you look in the garages you can catch a glimpse of me in uniform.

While they were filming Casino, Joe Pesci was a guest of the Binion family at the National Finals Rodeo and I got to drive him around a bit. I drove him to Vesuvio, a very exclusive restaurant in the lobby of a luxury apartment tower. He had dinner with the Binions and it dragged on for a couple of hours. One of my buddies was driving around the family and we were trying to decide if it would be safe for one of us to sneak over to Circle K for some snacks when a white jacketed waiter came up to my Limo and knocked on the window. He said, "Mr. Pesci thought you guys might be getting a little hungry and he ordered this for you." It was a couple plates of linguini with clam sauce. It was a really considerate thing for him to do. I've driven all kinds of famous or wealthy people around town but the only one who was ever concerned for us as people was Joe Pesci.

No but I've been an extra at McDonalds. We danced, we sung, oh what a joyous time that was.

... I still didnt get my Big Mac

Thats an awesome story. I wish Pesci would have done more movies. There was an 8 year gap between Lethal Weapon 4 and The Good Shepard which is crazy for actors.

Nah. Is there any pay for it?

Yeah but it ranges.

I was once when I was about 11. They were filming some comedy close to my living place and needed a group of children, so the school sent me and my classmates to take part therein as extras. I've never tried to be an extra since and actually I am not interested any more. I remember that it was an immensely boring experience.
