I still don't totally understand it. If you love someone shouldn't you show it all year round not just on one day a year. Hubby and I never use to celebrate it. We love each other and do nice things for each other year round.The last few years though we have gone out to dinner then bar with pool tables. lol I'm not the romantic dinner and flowers kinda girl. On this day or any other in the year.

I gave the missus a bottle of sauternes, some beechware, a heart shaped choc lollipop, some heart shaped chocolates, a bottle of Martini Asti (not as good as Russian champers, but palatable) rose, gave her a card, a single red rose and an orchid, read her a poem I wrote for her and took her out to a restaurant. She refused all my offers to buy her jewellry tho :dunno:
Now it's time for massage and if only she wasn't on it would be time for kitten kissing.
The missus is well chuffed; I'm chalking this V day up as a success (I hate the whole concept of Vday tho) and I hope you're all having a good time. Any tips what to do next to make the day better for her would be well recieved.
