happy holiday

Happy Thanksgiving fellow Americans. I think it is still one of the most meaningful holidays we have with so many of the others being commercialized so much.

Well.. I didnt even realize it was Thanksgiving until an hour ago. I thought my girl was 3 hours late to work and looked at the calendar to see if I should **** her up or am I wrong on the time-off issue. Thankfully, she's actually off today!

And.. I guess I'll enjoy my baked chicken. Or something.

I wish we had thanksgiving. Sounds like fun, eating turkey without having to worry about buying presents for people.

Well it is Britain's thanks giving in a way. After all it was mostly British pilgrims doing the thanks.

As for Turkey don't even eat it at Christmas, dry horrible meat IMO. Prefer Chicken to Turkey, nearly same taste and much more moist.

Something I could never work out though, I know it's all to do with thanks for the first harvest and all that. But why so close to Christmas ? Or does America do your harvest at this time of year ?

Everyone seems to have more holidays than us in the UK.

Anyway happy holidays everyone across the ocean :glugglug:

Besides, the Chiefs won.

meh, as long as they take the chargers out.

you know what i **** about thanksgiving? the fact that the weekend after is for putting up christmas decorations. my *** did it when i was a ***. my wife does it now. its not even december yet!

eh, im just ranting and raving. this is just one of my little pet peeves.

There are worse things in the world than your wife putting up xmas decorations. Doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

One of those worse things is the fact that someday - one day - the Chiefs will lose on Thanksgiving. They are now 1-0 and will host a night game on Thanksgiving every year, at least it is likely. YEAH! Well, at least once in the next 30 years they will lose their home Turkey Day game. Well, then again. Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. They are the Chiefs after all.

umm, the chiefs played dallas last season on thanksgiving, didnt they?

the decorations arent a bad thing, just a peeve i have.

Are turkeys even a native bird to any other place besides North America? That could be why we eat them more than any other place. There is more available and we have eaten more in our culture over time. I don't mind the dryness, and besides chicken and fish it is my next preferred source of protein.
