Happened 55 years ago

Ford Mustang was first introduced in America 13.04.1964.

Why the presentation took place in Finland a day earlier?

Answer: maybe because Finns are Ford-freaks.

You look much younger.

I mean it's hard to believe that you're almost sixty years old!

Yeah, I know. Getting old, year by year!

Right and when you get older you will also be wiser!

Before you buy a Ford Mustang you should understand that it is not a ****** car.

When you sit in the back seat of that car your feet are hooked and your penis is in your mouth.

The back seat is very tight. :/

This is a controversial topic:

"The Facts of Life: Ford Beats Chevy

Size matters

Quick, who founded Chevrolet? You probably don’t know. But everyone knows that Henry Ford was the founding ****** of Ford Motor Co. And Ford remains in the ****** today, more than a century later. In fact, Ford is the fifth-largest ******-owned company in the world behind only Wal-Mart, Volkswagen, Berkshire Hathaway, and Exor, an Italian investment company.

Better safe than sorry

What’s the safest pickup truck on the road? According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it’s the Ford F-150. The popular Ford model was the only truck to register a top safety rating in the difficult “small overlap crash test.” Meanwhile, the Chevy Silverado, the staple of the Chevy pickup truck fleet, had a “relatively poor showing” in the same test.

Live long and prosper

In a study of the toughest trucks and SUV’s, the Ford F-150 came in first place. And in a study of the longest lasting cars that involved over 30 million used cars, the Ford Taurus came in seventh place while no Chevy models cracked the top 10.

Selling like hot cakes

Both Ford and Chevy are well-known for two types of vehicles: pickup trucks and muscle cars. And one way to settle the score between Ford vs. Chevy is to simply look at which of the two are being bought more often by consumers.

Among pickups, the number of Ford F-150’s sold in 2015 trumped that of the Chevy Silverado.

And in the muscle car segment of the two manufacturers, the Ford Mustang has beaten out the Chevy Camaro in total sales in 31 of the 41 years they had competed against each other through 2014.

The facts suggest that whether it be a pickup truck or a muscle car, consumers choose Ford more often than Chevy."

I've never owned one, but I think that Ford has managed to keep the Mustang fresh and relevant. If I had to rank the remaining American pony/muscle cars, I'd put the Challenger in 1st, the Mustang in 2nd and the Camaro in 3rd. That's just based on styling and personal preference, not performance or quality. The one that's stayed truest to its origins is the Challenger: big horsepower from a big engine and does best when you don't have to turn the wheel too far or stab the brakes too hard (just like in the late 60s and early 70s). But I like the Mustang for its modern Euro styling and use of smaller displacement (pressurized) engines to make really good horsepower. From what I've read, they handle nicely too, since they finally went with independent rear suspension in 2015(?). One of our (now departed) fellow posters seemed happy with his. I think Sean/Animus had a 2.3 liter Ecoboost in his. I think those 4 banger turbo engines are good for 300+ horsepower in showroom stock form.

Congrats to Ford and Mustang for hanging on through the years.

The price of Mustang in Finland was/is very high so they were driven only by elite citizens.

Yes and the selfsuckers are the most loyal group to buy Mustang brand cars!

Is that because of taxes or tariffs?

Can you convert what a Mustang Ecoboost costs there into dollars for us? Even Euros would work. I think that trim level (4 cylinder turbo) is about $27,000 here.

Even without taxes such a special car is expensive here.

2019 Ford Mustang Ecoboost 290 hv M6 price without taxes: €39 000,00/price with taxes: €56 649,05

Converted to US dollars: price without taxes $43 665,57/price with taxes $63 425,98.

Wow! That's a hefty jump

Do me another favor. Can you price a standard Subaru WRX (the standard 2.0 liter, not the STI)? Those are imported here and there from Japan. Price here would be about the same as the Mustang: around $27,000.

That's pricey for the lowest model. What does the lowest priced Porsche Boxster go for?
