Hammerhead shark mystery solved

Conspiracy...
Having eyes on the sides of your head make you see better?

Try looking straight to your side and slightly behind without turning your head.

It creates a broader range of vision.

Depth perception is not as good as primates though.

I think Hammerheads are some of the most fascinating looking creatures on earth. I find sharks in general to be fascinating, but Hammerheads especially so. Good info in that article.

It's just a hypothesis; which is just a scientific guess, theory, and not confirmed as truth until research and studies come to a decision supported by facts based off of the studies.

As for the hammerhead shark it is indeed a unique looking creature. Thing is it says that it may be solved. Scientists are constantly changing their minds year after year, test after test.

That is why I choose to admire nature and the creatures within for their beauty. For us to try and understand them on complex scientific levels such as sight in this case, and their sic animal instincts we will be chasing our own tail and constantly coming up with one guess after the other of why. Instead of admiring the beauty and uniqueness of it all, it is experimenting and overlooking the beauty. And for what? So we can say we know how a hammerhead sees?

I will still put my money on the Great White, Mako, or Bull Shark though!

Who else better to make a rebuttal than the great man himself.

Any or all of them.

Years ago, Shark Week on Discovery was one of my favorite times of the TV season. I'd turn the lights on in my aquarium, grab some popcorn, try not to fight with The Princess for a few hours and just enjoy the show.

Good times...

I'll put my money on the Megalodon! Well, if it was still around that is.

Sadly global warming killed this creature 1.5 million years ago.

Although there have been sightings... Probably bullshit though.

I'd love it if they did make a come back, something truely fucking terrifying in the ocean is what we need.
