I have an old school Boss GT-8 multi effect units and you can change the order of effects. I am sure Line 6 is the same.

Only once, a very long time ago. Believe it or not, it was an Alembic Explorer shaped, beautiful piece of art, that I latter found out, the person who let me plat it, stole the fucking thing. Not that I would have been guilty of anything myself, but FUK ME, how can you do that to a fellow musician that spent, probably close to 10k on the thing. Anyway, it sounded, and felt glorious, and if I ever hit the lotto, I will buy one, even though I'm very much not in need of, nor at the level of skill, that would justify the cost. I have a Schecter Stiletto, and I'm not sure if they make them anymore, they offered an 8 string model, which is the road I would go down if I didn't hit the lotto. I have never played a 5 or 6 string bass, although I love that extra low string on a 5 string, I have yet to master 4. Have you ever seen a 12 string bass? I can't imagine what that would do to your finger tips, holding down 3 strings at once. Kramer used to make one, explorer shaped body, neck through construction, about 12k, and it even comes with the case.
Sweet yeah I remember those Alembics. I went to a guitar shop planning to buy a Jackson Flying V with a Floyd Rose tremolo.I ended up with a Gibson Thunderbird Bass. I couldn't pass it up!

They are nice, and I think about the only one they make with humbuckers. I've never had luck with tremolo's. I always end up fucking something up. But then, I am a tad heavy handed, which is why I leaned closer to the bass.....I've broken A LOT of guitar strings, but only 1 bass string.

Ya know, I saw this, and posted it because it's an Alembic, and we were talking about them....but I just reread your post, and you asked if I played a six string, I thought it was EIGHT string, I have never played a 5 or a 6, just 4 and 8. I must have been still been refilling my veins with caffeine, and working the eye boogers out. Anyway. The bass in the link is ugly, but what a piece of art. It's amazing the care and craftsmanship they put into these things, but you would think they could come up with one or two more "normal" body styles.
That bass looks awesome. I like those crazy shapes. Like a BC Rich Ironbird.
I have played a 5 string and 6 string bass. I like the low B string.7 string guitars are cool with that low B too.
I think 8 and 9 string guitars are a little ridiculous. Going lower than a dropped A is like mush. But some bands seem to make that work.
My favorite guitar tunings are E standard, Eb standard,D standard, and B standard.

I just stumbled on this, and thought certain members might be interested. I've never heard of this woman, or her guitars, so I can't ad anything, other then, DAMN! That's a chunk of change, for an acoustic guitar. I don't know what her standard models cost, but I poked around a little bit, and she's a new business, and has been receiving praise for her quality work.

Well, it looks like Kirk has ANOTHER one of a kind toy, to put next to "Greenie". At least they seem to be getting grabbed up, buy guys that will play them, and not stash them away for a decade, just to drive up prices.

This guy is a great guitarist. I'm surprised he doesn't get mentioned more around here. I'm looking forward to seeing what his new venture is going to produce. I'm also surprised he doesn't have a signature guitar, although I seem to remember always see him playing a Gibson SG.

I've never heard of these guitars before. Maybe Sup can shed some light. They're a European made instrument. I think it's a good looking ax, and appears to be geared towards metal players.

I would love to have a "Greenie" re-issue. I'm not to hip to whammy bars and tremolo's....I used to break a lot of strings. I also like the Kirk Flying "V", which is from another story, and not in this link. The Hagstrom's look nice, and I here they make a nice guitar. My personal tastes tend to run more towards traditional styles. The Flying V and the Explorer are about as exotic as I like, and prefer dual coil hum buckers, but I would have to be able to split the coils, because you just need that sound sometimes. I have a copy of a Les Paul, but it has a master tone, and 2 volume, instead of 2 and 2. It also doesn't have a coil tap, but I bought a set of DeMarzio's for it years ago, and still haven't had them installed. I think if, or when I do, I'm going to get them installed out of phase, just for shits and giggles.
