The first thing you need to do when you get this game is go drinking. Call up Roman and take him to the pub, it's so hilarious trying to walk/drive wasted.

I just picked it up today. At this point, I've opened it up and I'm going to start playing it for my PS3 in a minute. Once I get used to it, we should post our online names so we can jump in rooms together.

MP sucks right now. Too many people trying to get online, results in some of us not being able to log in! Is it like this for Xbox users as well? For the PS3 users, it seems it be a nightmare.

I just got it for PS3. Havent played it for more then 5 minutes though.

Man, you can't just go up to anybody and start a fight. They're packing now. I went up to a guy standing on the street to take his money and he pulled out a knife and killed me.

I got into a fight almost straight away, I just bumped into the guy and he started chasing me. I hadn't even figured out how to fight people yet!

I was almost dead, then a cop car turned up, the policeman fucking arrests the other guy! I was amazed. That was the moment I fell in love with the game.

i have the 360 version. so far it's AWESOME. i think i have to play the game with the default contols cause i switched to the "classic" and it's almost impossible to control cars making turns. every car i drive spins out. i use the handbrake just like in the old ones but it's all over the place trying to turn.
i used to be so awesome at using the handbrake and bustin tight turns and stuff.using the RT button for acceleration and being able to lightly press the button for accler. might be the way to go. unless there is a better way to have better driving control

The driving is much more difficult than the other games. At first I didn't like it, but now I really do.

I love listening to the radio and watching TV on this game, so much effort has gone into the script to make it hilarious. ("You kids don't know how lucky you are, when I was your age, I heard herpes!")

I heard Ricky Gervais on the radio station WKTT or something like that, first celebrity voice I've managed to pick out.

Did anyone else have to adjust the lighting? It was fine during the daytime but when it became night I could barely see.

i was going to but i left it alone.
but now i may brighten it up.

RHINO any hints on how to handle the cars a little better? should i go to the default controls and not use the "classic" controls?

I must say that picking up a prostitute has come a long way for this series. If you haven't tried it yet I suggest you check it out. As far as the driving is, once you get used to it it's pretty easy. I would say to use the default controls rather than classic. I also have to add that I can't get over how much this game literally looks and feels like a real world compared to the older games.

Hell yeah,I couldn't see anything in the stairwell of Niko's apt until I got outside.I had to change the brightness and contrast

All of the GTAs (well from 3 and on) are the same. Start off really fun but, once the novelty wears off, you see just how repetitive they are.

The game is okay so far. Nothing special just yet. It's entertaining and so far it's good I think.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say:...

You haven't got GTA4 yet.

And if you have, maybe you should just give up and stop playing video games all together?

This game is much more advanced that all the others. Even if you play just the missions, that is still 30 hours worth of gameplay. God knows how long the game would last if you tried to complete all the stats.

San Andreas is NOTHING compared to this game.

It gives nothing to the story, just like all the other games, but it's just about making effort.

I still like to date Michelle, just to make a change from all the killing and car jacking. I want to make this game last as long as possible, and if she adds a few hours on to it, GOOD!
