"GTA 5 been in dev. for over a year".Where do u think the setting will be?

vice city for GTA 5
or san andreas GTA 5......

Because i played GTA 4 good game
but not good replayability value.... Instead Vice is still fun to play
with that " charm " of Miami.... and san andreas is crazy and addictive too...

If the PS2 can bring us a game the size of San Andreas, then the PS3 and 360 will be able to do it a lot easier than the PS2 did. But as much as I want a game the size of San An again, I don't see them doing it.

MORE COUNTRYSIDE is what I want to see. I hope they fuck off with all this concrete jungle crap. That gets a little bit boring after a while. Some variety in the locales would be nice [fields, wooded areas, hilly/mountain section, ect].

Oh, surely they can make a game of that size, but with the detail of GTA IV that would be extremely difficult with the current consoles, but alas I'm hopeful they could find a way.

There is already GTA:London so maybe updated version of that. And for people asking 1920-1950 GTA, i'd say probably not because of Mafia 2 will be released next year.

But i think it doesn't matter where it sets, it still going to be awesome game.

Oh, and while waiting for gta5, you can buy red dead redemption, it will be like gta in wild west, plus it's made by rockstar so it can't totally suck.

My city, Las Vegas

Didn't they already do Vegas...?

And Chinatown Wars dealt with Yakuza stuff as well...

I say Seattle, only everyone would get lost and end up dying in Tacoma...:1orglaugh

The first one did.

The first Red Dead Revolver was a piece of SHIT it is the poor mans GUN.

The game was boring and felt like it was done in stages [Time Splitters style] not a free roam open world [GTA style]. I hope the second one is GTA in the Wild West. Free roam the entire map, side quests, gun fights, main quests, more gun fights, inbetween quests, even more gun fights, and last but not least a storymode set out similar to all GTA games from III onwards. By that I mean YOU choose when to do the missions or just piss about in the map. None of the crap that made the first RDR game forgettable. I never went back to that game after the first time I played it. And when games make you want to stay away from them, there's something wrong.

As for the gentleman that stated Rockstar are making it so it should be good. Or words to that effect. Just because Cockstar are involved, doesn't mean it will be good. At this moment in time TO ME Rockstar are THE most overrated developer out there. They have more average titles than great ones. The only real great titles they have is GTA III, VC, SA and Manhunt.

Look up Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar - it's coming out later this year and that's pretty much exactly what it is.

If it's going to be outside the US, they should make it in Melbourne, Australia during the gangland war with all the rival drug dealers shooting the fuck out each other in broad daylight - it'd make a wicked setting!!

dont like the idea of a foreign gta game but i say they should bring carcer city in like on manhunt which is also made by rockstar and has been reffered to on previous gta games.
even if they do something like on san andreas have like 3 major cities on 1 map, Carcer a detroit and a snowie one like colorado or somethin.

Spleen

Banned?
Back to London. Maybe base it around the 90s.

You know I was talking to a pal on the phone earlier about this game. And I said it should be set in Italy or sum place like that. Italy has hilly areas with winding rounds around the hills and towns and the likes. It would be ideal. I want more than just a fucking city though as the concrete jungle setting gets old. Variety in locales is the key.

Thats what was cool about San Andreas, you had the hilly and farm areas along with the more city type enviroments. It seems like for the first Grand theft game this gen,GTA4 was more about the tech/features and criminal feel of the Grand theft universe than a unique setting. I mean they went back to Liberty city so.............its understandable why they did that.

What? NO ONE is more overrated than SE.

What if they did a crossover game? That way they could set it in really bizarre places...How about GTA: Star Wars? Jack yoself a Death Star or something...lol
