I often thought the same thing. His cabins and some of his trees never impressed me much, but I don't know if there is another person that could do pretty good mountains in the short amount of time he did them as well as Bob Ross.
He also had one of the most soothing voices I have ever heard. I could never get through watching one of his shows if I was already tired. They should make audio recordings of him to sell to insomniacs to help them get to sleep.
