Shannon Wilsey aka Savannah -- Rest In Peace
Shannon was one of the first Vivid Girls for Steve Hirsch. Apparently, she had had an argument with her girlfriend and lover, fellow pornstar, Jeanna Fine. There was another story that because she was so unreliable because of drug addiction and alcohol abuse, arriving late or missing scheduled Vivid filming engagements and photo-shoots entirely and acting like a diva by arguing with the directors, producers and the film crews that Vivid Entertainment fired her. At the time of her death, the Internal Revenue Service was also auditing her tax returns for 1991, 1992, and 1993. They said that she had not reported income and they were investigating her for tax fraud. Thus another reason why she was depressed. She felt isolated and alone.
As a result of all of this, Shannon had a bad car accident with her Corvette. She took out a fence. She brought the car home. Went inside. She saw herself in the mirror. Her face was bleeding (she had broken her nose in the car accident and was bleeding from her mouth) and she went back out to her car, got her .38 out the glove compartment and shot herself in the head. A suicide.
Her family, especially her mother, blamed the adult/porn industry for her death. Any flower arrangements, from porn producers or directors were not displayed at the funeral. And they were returned. No one from the adult industry was allowed to be at the wake. Strict orders from her father.
Wikipedia also discusses her relationships with Rock-N-Roll singers... they don't mention Axl Rose from Guns and Roses. I personally know a roadie for them. Savannah called Axl one of her worst lovers EVER. Apparently he could not get it up with her. She talked with Duff McKagen and Steve Adler at how inept he was in the bedroom. And both Duff and Savannah were laughing at Axl when he arrived for rehearsals. Steve was overly abusive to Axl. That led to an argument within the band. Slash came in as he had heard about the incident and the resulting argument. He took both Axl and Savannah aside separately. Slash heard both of their stories. Then he came to a decision. He sided with Savannah. Axl was pissed off. He got so angry that he slammed one of Izzy Stradlin's guitars down and walked out. Izzy was his best friend in G&R and Izzy was mad at him for almost a year. Has Axl kept animosity between himself and Slash up over the years because of the Savannah issue? The band did break up. Who knows?
My roadie friend also said, "they say that Yoko Ono helped break up the Beatles. Hey Savannah may have done that to G&R."
