WOW! How did I miss that! LOL Thanks AFA!

Oh and I have found the abandoned nuclear power plant that James Cameron filmed all of the underwater scenes for the Abyss! You can still see the underwater station they built for the movie in the round tank!

Where I type to you fine fellows:
39°57'37.12"N 86° 1'8.67"W

The area to the immediate east of that would be, in a counter-clockwise order: Firehouse, Post Office Headquarters, City Hall, Train Station HQ, BMV (license plates, renewals, etc), police HQ and first of two awesome libraries for my county. Walking distance to anything, and the safest six-figure (or nearly so, depending) neighborhood I could think of. ;)

I just downloaded Google Earth yesterday. I could spend hours looking around. Thank you guys for the suggestions on things to look at!

I bet that is a beautiful place to visit!

Yes, many giant monolitihic granite stones, some up to over 30 feet tall. The road going there winds around them, (as you would think), past tiny houses, all with a 25' tall rock out of the side window. Goats clog the road, and you have to wait for them to move.

When you get there, you have to walk down a very long twisty path from the dead end, under boulders, and around and over others. The secluded beach in the pictures requires another long path that goes into another long section called "The Caves" in the water under the boulders, up over some smaller fallen ones on a small ladder someone built, and a rope handhold over others. It's like a cathedral inside.

Water is crystal clear, about 25' deep to the bottom.

Similar type geography to the Sechilles in the Indian Ocean.

MAN! I wanna go there now! LOL:thumbsup:

Hey AFA, have you found the "pit of the swallows" cave yet? It's that one in Mexico where they base jump and parachute down to the bottom!? It's like the worlds deepest "Pit Type" cave I believe!

Just yesterday I saw for the first time my local news station using it. It was regarding the finding of the Virginia girl that had disappeared in Vermont. I looked at the pic and took a second look and there was the Google logo. It was a aerial shot showing where she was last seen and where she was found. I feel in the not to distant future these type shots will be able to be closed in on showing clearly visible pics where crimes took place and help in police work considerably. At least I certainly hope it will be.
