Going down on wife while going through Chemo...Quesstion

Here's the deal, my wife, 28, has breast cancer. She did bilateral mastectomy, RIP her perfect breasts, with reconstruction, Hello big fake titties! Now she is going through Chemo. I was going down on her the other night, one of the rare occasions she was in the mood, now that were dealing with cancer everyday, and when the show was over, my tongue was so numb, I couldn't feel a thing in my mouth. I wonder if I am getting "chemo tongue"?

Anyone else ever have this happen?

Very serious. Not exactly something you can ask your friends of your granddad who has had a wife with breast cancer. I know it sounds funny, but I am serious. Going through this with my wife, we've gotten a weird sense of humor about cancer now.

Bodily fluids really shouldn't be passed between two parties while one is going through chemotherapy. Obviously harder said than done, but you should really consult her doctors in matters such as this. Especially if you believe yourself to have had a reaction that could possibly have arisen from the drugs she's on.

This is entirely correct. You have to watch yourself while Chemo poison is going through her system. And it lasts quite a while, I'm sorry to say.

Also, she may not be enjoying it so much if she's on Chemo. Just sayin.

Yeah, maybe consult her doc and ask about sex stuff while she's on chemo. I don't think anyone here can really offer you advice or support...best to go to the professionals who are treating your wife. All the best <3

I know it's a little embarrassing to ask the Doctor this type stuff,but most have seen and heard it all.

Just ask if giving/receiving oral sex while on chemo is a good idea. Or google the question and find a reputable site/article that discusses tghis topic.

this isnt shit not to be serious about. you should be making her as happy as she can be. and you better make sure shes eating healthy too.

i was hired to cook for a lady who was getting cancer treatment (ovarian, a very bad type) and i made her organic meals the whole time. guess what? she got cured. im not saying its gonna work every time but i know it helped.

every little thing helps. personally, id deal with this "chemo tongue" thing if it makes her happy without a question. thats your wife dude. step up. learn. ask questions. do everything you can.

I probably would have brought this up to the doc before it got to this. I honestly don't think it's the best bet to apply your mouth to the genitals of a woman who has endured radiation, but I'm no doctor.

BTW: it's grand that you still pursue having a healthy sex life with your wife after such a serious medical condition. Props to you, sir!

I saw an episode of House once where this guy was taking some drug and didn't realize that he was sweating small amounts of it out of his system and passing that onto his kids when he hugged them. TV can come up with some ridiculous story-lines, but if that were possible, I can only assume that it is possible in your case, so everyone that's been suggesting that you talk to a doctor is absolutely right. I would do it quickly, just to be safe.

I feel bad about it but this is basically how I felt reading this.

Call me a pussy, or an oversensitive guy, but if I had a wife and she went through cancer and chemo, sex would be the last thing on my mind. I'd really just be concentrating on caring for her and all. I'd want to be close physically but not in a sexual way. As for getting off, I'd just rely on Freeones.
