'Girls Gone Wild' Goes Bankrupt Seeks Chapter 11 Protection"Girls Gone Wild" has gone bankrupt ...

"Girls Gone Wild" has gone bankrupt ... filing for Chapter 11 reorganization -- but fear not late night TV viewers ... 'GGW' honchos insist "it will be business as usual" for the porn company.

Lawyers for 'GGW' filed docs yesterday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court ... which gives the company protection from creditors while it comes up with a plan to handle all its debts.

According to the docs ... there are 3 subsidiaries of 'GGW' filing for Chapter 11 -- GGW Magazine, GGW Events, and GGW Direct.

In a statement, the company says it remains financially strong ... and throws other corporations under the bus ... claims it's just "like American Airlines and General Motors having sought reorganization under Chapter 11."

As for GGW founder Joe Francis ... he assures us this has no affect on his personal wealth.

It's not just you, I used to see them peppered intermittently on late night television, and I haven't in a long time.

I'm fairly shocked as to how they can still remain standing nowadays, with the internet allowing free porn being prevalent as it is. I always kind of hoped, that if I saw the words "Girls Gone Wild" followed by "bankruptcy", it would be followed still by "Chapter 7", "court investigation", and "Joe Francis leaps off building to own death", the guy's such a fucking sleaze.

I wonder how something like that could go bankrupt. Unless there are lawsuits that won out against it or something or somebody that controls it made really foolish deals that amount basically amounted to giving away their money I don't see how it's easily possible. Maybe people put their hands in the companies' cookie jar for personal use.

It seems like something that has very little production cost, and something that should have virtually nothing for maintenance cost once the material is made. Even if popularity was drastically reduced it isn't something like a factory where one still has huge payroll, material, utility, and other cost they have to pay to keep going.
