Fans of the Mandalorian like myself are still reeling from the news. She has been posting some really controversial stuff on social media, so I guess we saw some form of blowback is possible, but I don't know if we saw her permanent removal from the show actually happening, given it's huge popularity.

You could recast a bunch of tires for the roles of this show and people will still watch it. I think they'll be just fine.

Due to living under a rock, I had not heard of her prior to the recent kerfuffle. After seeing this, I can think of a few roles for her.

As I mentioned, this isn't a good example as it's a show where literally everyone, including the 2 main stars could be easily replaced.

But it begs the question, what happens when someone irreplaceable (or close to it) on your favorite show does something questionable? Or if it's your favorite actor/actress?

How far would they have to go? What is limit of the leeway you're willing to give them, if any?

Cancel culture goes all ways. It's easier to take umbrage than try to work it out. Liberals cancel conservatives, conservatives cancel liberals, conservatives cancel not-too-conservative conservatives, liberals cancel those not progressive enough, etc., etc., etc.
