Get My Freeones Points from Reputation Points!

Myfreeones says: "Board User Reputation 2 (each 50 points)" On the rep points over 250. Do you get 200 myfreeones points for each 50 rep points?:dunno:

I was wondering if it's 200 myfreeones points on 50 rep points over 250, or 200 points on 250 rep points over 250.

I got 200 my freeones points at 300 rep points, but nothing at 350 or 400.
If I gotta give them back, I already spent them. sorry.

We changed this a few weeks ago since people were getting points way too easily.

At this time you get 200 points for every 250 you gain after the first 250. So right now you'll earn 200 more points at 500 reputation.

I'll have to see about editing the bit under points in My FreeOnes so you guys get the correct number.

Some of you with a lot of board reputation points may have noticed that your My Freeones points have increased! That's because now you can recieve My Freeones points via reputation points! Here's how it works:

First 50 reputation points = 100 My Freeones points

Every 50 reputation points until 250 = 100 My Freeones points

250 reputation points = a one time only 250 My Freeones points

Every 250 reputation points after the first 250 = 200 My Freeones points

And just to let everyone know, getting reputation from other members isn't the only way to get it! Being active and posting on the board can help add to your reputation as well!!

I have never understood exactly how the rep system works. Now that its been redone after the out of control "rep whores" broke the old system. It makes even less sense! I'm guilty of it too. It was a fun game, now its just :dunno: but given that we get freeones points, makes it nice to have some amount of rep.

Ok, here's how the rep system works as best to my knowledge.

The number you see in your profile (it'll be a big number) is your total rep. The number you see when you post (next to the green squares, assuming you have positive rep) is how much power you have to influence other people's reputation.

Whenever someone gives you reputation, this is added to your total reputation. Every 100 reputation gives you 1 point of reputation influencing power. So if someone with 200 reputation influencing power gives you reputation, your own reputation influencing power will increase by 2.

Every 250 reputation influencing power you get (after the initial 250), you get 200 FreeOnes points.

There are a few other factors that will give you reputation influencing power. Such as your post count and how long your account has been active. Oh, and any negative reputation you give someone is either half of your rep influencing power or 3/4...I can't remember.

So, I hope that explains it.

And, if things go well, I should be able to increase the amount of times per day you can rep someone. That should make people happy.

It's the power you have to influence someone else's reputation. You have 2072 reputation influencing power...so every time you rep someone, you're giving them 2072 reputation into their main pool.

But you dont have any rep power yet. You have to reach 100 posts before you can see how much rep you have.

I asked this question in another post but no1's answered so...I've posted my over 100 posts and it says I've received 500 myfreeones points...and I havn't got that yet. How long does it normally take? I've got an accounts btw.

Make sure you're logged into MyFreeOnes and then click the link above. You'll be taken to a page that will ask you to put in your message board username and password and your accounts will be synced. Just note it does take 2-8 hours for the points to show up in your MyFreeOnes account.

If that doesn't work for you, PM me your MyFreeOnes username and I can sync them manually for you.
