He was a stagehand on the Gong Show and left a bigger impression on my young mind than many of the contestants. He was 82.

So long, Gene. We hardly knew ye.

Me too. RIP Mean Gene. How'd he outlive Rerun? I saw Rerun get his joint chopped off in the 1986 film Vice Squad.
